That husk on Sanctuary that jumped on the glass in front of Shepard.

On the first game run...waiting to come under attack when all Shep has is the flash light on his gun....
...had me freaked every step of the way....

I was playing on Insanity the last big, stressful battle on Earth 2, when you face a bunch of Banshees and Brutes. My Shepard was concentrating on taking down a Banshee with a Mattock, when out of nowhere I get violently OHK'd from behind. A Brute had flanked me. That was the only Dead Space 1 moment for me.

All those creepy indoctrinated people on the asteroid base in Leviathan.

Sanctuary. Not because of the atmosphere, because of the nature of the mission. People forced to be turned into husks? Sick. Reminded me of classic RE in a way. Also, the idea that the ending could be liked. *shivers*

For me the scariest moment was the Ardat-Yakshi monastery. Damn Banshee wail creeps me out.

When you go to do the neutron purge of the facility on Noveria in me1, and the dude gets murked by that Rachni was a good one also.

The three geth primes in rannoch were pretty scary...

Geth Consensus mission. Listening carefully, and realizing from their timestamps that the Morning War and consequential extermination of 99% of the Quarian populace only took a single year.
Holy s***.
Holy s***.

Lol that was hilarious.
Scariest moment for me would either be when I thought I had accidently got Grunt killed, or the dialog choices prior to peace between the Q's and G's. In both places I was terrified that I had majorly screwed up, but thankfully things turned out okay.
In terms of gameplay though, the first fleeting glimpse of the Adjudant on Omega immiediatly springs to mind. Omega did a lot of things wrong, but that almost made me ****** myself.

Right at the begining when I realized there wasn't going to be a trial, Vega was introduced without being introduced, and I found out that my Shepard had just been chilling on Earth being worthless for a couple months. I realized then that something was not quite right, and I was worried.

You do know the entire crew of the sr1 is introduced the same way don't you? Unless you already knew joker, Kaiden, and Anderson before me1...

At Tuchanka, where five or so brutes came to fight me- and then out of nowhere a Reaper stomped on me.
EDIT: Also, Shepard's melting face in Control.

Citadel the Return. Was horrified how the entire franchise was set ablaze in the span of ten minutes.

Ending ... I am afraid of spacemagic that crops up without being present in any of the previous games

Ummm... Well, I guess I'm slightly adverse to hights... So that reaper on ranoch coming up fromt he Geth base and making Shepard fall was slightly, worrysome even though I don't expect or didn't expect Shepard to fall to his or her death... That wouldn't make for a very interesting story. Still wish the endgame had been more interesting though..

And, oh yes, I like AC aswell, some of the heights there can be a little freeky even if falling to your death is rare... Though irl doing it just once would be bad enough...
