I completed dragon age in December and have now gone back in to create a different class of character and download the new add-on. However, my previous character is no where to be found. Does the program not support multiple characters (it seems to imply that it does)? Are backup files created somewhere so that I can restore my original character? Please help.

You previous character saves should be in My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Characters. Each character should have its own directory there.



Character saves aren't intermingled. To see other characters, try selecting Switch Character on the Load Save screen.

That's what I thought but when i go to that folder, only the two NEW characters I created this month are there. I don't know if this is important but when I started dragon age this month, it wouldn't let me escape past the intro screen. It was as if I had never opened the program before. Also, I had to re-download all my add-ons. Was there an update in the last month that could have caused this?

More then likely something happened to wipe away your My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age folder, and you ended up starting fresh when you started the game again.

hello, im desperate, i just got a virus on my computer andif I can't remove it using a antivirus, I'm gonna need to reboot my comp and reinstall everything but i have really good characters and I really don't want to loose them so my question is:

 Is it possible to reinstall my whole computer (microsoft etc...) while saving my characters files somewhere safe (like a USB key) to put them back on my computer after i'v reinstalled everything?
