1. Grey Warden, He is a warrior as a Grey Warden. Grey Warden are open to the most skilled fighter's who's background orgins are not in question as long as they have can pass through the Grey Warden ritual.

2. Royal Family Blood, Indeed even though he doesn't openly talk about it. When you go to Redcliff, he starts to confess everything. Strangely though I did not find this shocking on my first play through. It was surprising a little. But nothing to write about.

However recently I started taking the time out to complete mostly everyone's quest and backstory. When the expansion does release. I want to make sure nothing bad morally effects into the expansion.

For example with Leliana, if you don't do her quest. Killing the person thats set out to kill her then after the land's meet. I heard she does vanish. I found myself wondering if it had anything to do with that quest on hers, I didn't complete.

Though back to my point. Allister is number 3) I find this most shocking. A virgin,  he said so himself when I asked him if he ever..you know.I found out after giving him the locket that was stored away in the main hall of redcliff castle. Then he speaks about a half sister which we go and see. Outside

We spoke about guy stuff. At first I found him an annoying person, sarcasticly guy. Though as I go deeper into his backstory. I know why now he got so mad at logan in the land's meet.

Duncan was really close to Allister, and Allister must have looked up to him like a brother/father. And the King was his uncle I believe, that's two people that in his eyes Logan pulled his men out and killed. They were like his family

discovering his quest, he doesn't really have much family. Despite Arl of Redcliff, he seems to think of himself as alone. He's not such a bad guy, maybe bit of a smart ass. But aren't we all.

Alistair really is my characters best mate, and I would do anything for him.

(My only gripe is from a game -challenging dicision- standpoint. I understand him being pissed about saving Loghain, I understand him giving me the finger and leaving the group. Completely understandable. I do not understand him then completely abandoning his duty and not at least trying to get to the top of the tower to fight the Archdemon ala First Enchanter Irving, Legion of the Dead Commander, etc.).

But since my character didn't save Loghain, he is ignorant to that, so yeah, Alistair is my best mate.

Correction. Cailan(sp?) is Alistair's brother. Alistair doesn't have a living uncle that we know of.

Spoiler alert, read at your own risk:

The King Cailan (him who dies at the battle where Loghain betrays) is Alistair's half-brother, they had same father, but not the same mother. Alistair's mother dies right after he was born. Arl Eamon took him in and raised him as a son, probably because Alistair isn't 'pure' blooded (he isn't 100% royal) not sure tho, just guessing here.

Duncan works as a role model for Alistair, plus it was him who saved Alistair from becoming a fully templer.
Alistair hates the thought of being one.
I am guessing he looks up to him, either as a role model, father, or brother.

I knew it was either Uncle or Half Brother, however point being before doing his quest I was unsure why Allister was so upset over this. Then discovering in detail when Logan did not aide his Half Brother and His mentor. He wanted revenge for that.

The best option at the end of the game, I find. Perhaps to have Logan killed by Allister, and keep Anora on the throne. Then take the killing blow if you are doing the dark ritual.

If not, then have Allister sacfrice himself at the end

In my game he duels Loghain, win and kills Loghain in front of everyone and Anora becomes queen.
I took this ending out of 3 reasons.
1. Alistair wanted revenge, so I figured why not.
2. Alistair did not wish to be king.
3. My character is in a romance with him, lol.

I accepted the dark ritual to my annoyance, so both of us lives.

I have to ask you if you got the same odd dialog as I did. When I talked to him aboute the ritaul Al still talked like if he was king. "This is what I get for becoming king..." and "does she want an heir to the throne".
Woot!

And he was nowere to be found at the cournation. But was mentioned in the endings, "stayed with his love" and al that.

I'd be interested to know why the writers made that choice. It seems completely out of character. It's really the only place in the game where a character action seems off. I'm sure there was a reason for it, but it sure doen't make any sense to me. I think I would have had Alistair show up at the last battle and go it alone, perhaps being the one who tries to solo the dragon and falls to his death. Either that or join the legion of the dead and go into the deep roads.

If you click on an option to kill him. Then select

1. I can't do it

Allister steps in and kills him, I sadly found out that I was trying to wed Anora, she replied nastily "I will not wed, the murder of my father" though in truth, that's how a normal person should react. Marrying Anora, can only be on the Noble quest.

Tis strange how people react to you so differently if you are a noble, and you are a mage/ elf. For example that one guy that said he give a reward for a flower and then when you went to collect if not a noble he says "You must been mistaken"

Allister is an alright funny guy. I was really surprised being a Half Brother of the King and a Grey Warden, he did not get any sexual things. A grown man being a virgin but suppose His templar background gave the reason for this.

I really would like one of the female companions back as against to Allister, just my thought

Hey Josh - you can fix the "virgin" bit if you play through as a female character.  Just sayin'.  :)

For the whole Alistair is a virgin thing it really is understandable. He was sent to the Chantry when he was a child where they trained him as a templar. Not a whole lot of opportunity there. Then before he becomes a full templar he gets recruited into the Grey Wardens. Now not saying the wardens are a celibate bunch but as focused on duty as they are I doubt they go around just looking for chicks (or guys) to sleep with. And then with Alistair's personality ... he really wants to be emotionally involved and not just sleep with her just because.

He also mentions that there have been very few female wardens. I got the impression that none of the wardens he got to know after becoming a warden were female.

You can fix it as a male, too. Just his options might not be as nice/friendly/warm/caring as a PC :|
