 Seriously, some people can play melee builds so well... But i just can't.

I was trying today a little bit with Paladin and the fire shield and wow, i am completely a noob with it I don't know how some of you can do it so well.

some days ago one of my friends was showing me how to do melee paladin and I just couldn't do it, it seems that my playstyle is not compatible with it.

Same happens with Batarian Brofist, if I want to be good in a game is better to stay way from brofist unless it's the typical brofisting ritual after every wave, otherwise I will just drop to the floor.

I think the 2 melee builds I can use properly are Volus Sentinel ( yes, for the lulz ) and GI-melee.

I can do very well with GI melee and Volus Sent, for some reason they are the only 2 that seems compatible with me.

And snipers............ oh, my greatest  noobinesh thing, i think it is the scope actually, because when i try to use paladin or Talon with scopes i just become an Ape and miss every single shot..

Don't get me wrong, I can do the whole caster thing, but then I get impatient and try to bumrush the enemy like I'm playing GI or GTS or well, anything that's not a caster.

I still haven't even finished the Biotic God challenge yet lol...

I hate fully auto weapons and am bad with them. The PPR and Harrier are just so good that I use them anyways

I've recognised with doing the weapon challenges how  there is a huge shift in playstyle between different things, and it takes a long time to adjust. The trouble is when you adjust it's hard to go back.

For example I never used full auto, always preferred burst damage with things like the wraith, talon, javelin, etc.
Took a few matches to get into the full auto ARs and SMGs for the challenges, but after that it was easy. Now trying to go back to single shot or similar things is difficult, and again takes several games to adjust.


tl;dr - I think everyone can play everything well, but not at the same time - ie, learning one playstyle negatively affects the ability to succeed in another playstyle.

ME scoped weapons are so out of touch with the real world it is silly, but I suppose they have to or be OP with any noob.

Serious question, how do you "pull" the trigger?  Too often, folks that have problems with scopes get too "frantic" with their mouse button and instead of calmly depressing the button, attack it, jerking the mouse and pulling their aim off the target in the process.  Focus on smoothly depressing the button.  

Folks get in a hurry to take a shot (not talking about quick scoping here) and again, tend to jerk the mouse trying to get a shot off quickly.  Mentally train yourself to slow down (time difference is actually trivial) and smoothly depress the mouse button.  

This is one area where the remedy required actually somewhat mirrors shooting a weapon in the real world.

All that said, you ARE RedJohn, so you've probably already tried this.

WRT melee, the Shadow's melee frustrates me.  Plus she goes into heavy melee too easily for me and with the long animation, it is sure to result in a bad outcome most of the time.  I've heard that you need to be farther back from the baddy you are attacking, it is not the up close and personal style of other characters.  

Similarly, I almost always miss on the Krogan HM when I am running, I seem to always trigger it too late and absolutely crush the air behind the critter I am trying to kill.

I'm actually rediculously good with everything but a volus without a heavy weapon (and by heavy I mean saber/bw) and the shadow. Melee actually is most likely not your fault as much as its just bad tracking and mechanics with melee all together. Can't hit (subdued) enemies, can't hit accurately in smoke, gets canceld by enemy snyc kills, (even husk). Its just not really worth the points or effort unless last resort or carefree playing.
