Human Soldier probably.
Human Engineer is close though.
What is your favorite Base human class?

Engineer is really, really strong since the tech burst changes. At this point, assuming I don't want to Kroguard faceroll, it's my go to class when I think I might have to carry.

There are no garbage characters.
There are just characters that I like more than others.
Amongst the Genesis Humans.
1st Place: Original Human Adept: I love the hell out of this guy. With the new improved singularity. Warp and shockwave are great powers to have. I know shockwave isn't the most loved power on the planet, but I love it.
[8/10] There are other adepts that I love more than this one.
2nd Place: Original Human Engineer: My goodness. Overload, Combat Drone and Incinerate. That is exactly how I played the engineer in singleplayer. I can remove shields and barriers with overload, and deciminate armour and health with incinerate. Then I can distract most enemies with my combat drone. Not the most powerful engineer, but definitely a useful member of a balanced team.
[8/10] Strong versatile class.
3rd Place: Original Human Vanguard: Charge, nova, charge, nova, charge, nova, charge, nova. Lots of fun for bronze and silver challenges. But on Gold. If you can dominate gold with a human vanguard, please tell me how, because the only vanguards I bring to gold matches are the Krogan and Baterian.
[7/10] A powerhouse of destruction on lower difficulties.
4th Place: Original Human Sentinel: I really like this class. It's not the most powerful class out there, but it does a few things right. Debuffing, biotic explosions, throwing nearby unprotected foes, heavy melee, armour detonation, weapons and tanking. Not the best at any of the above, but like most sentinels it is a jack of all trades.
[7/10] The sentinel has some of my favourite characters. The human sentinel, is badly trumped.
5th Place: Original Human Infiltrator: I love cloaking. Tactical Cloak is hands down the most versatile power in the game. When you want to cast a power undetected, use cloak. When you want to line up headshots undetected with incredible bonus damage, use cloak. When you want to escape from a group of enemies you foolishly walked into, use cloak. When you want to revive a fallen team mate, use cloak.
Cryo blast is decent. Sticky grenades are my second least favourite grenade (least favourite being the frags). Sticky grenades are the most powerful grenades if you hit the target. But the area of effect is so small that it is an absolute pain trying to hit enemies. Cryo blast is actually an underrated power, but excellent for headshots on unprotected foes, and armour weakening.
[7/10] This is a good class because of tactical cloak and sniper damage. There are just better infiltrators out there.
6th Place: Original Human Soldier: It's a wonderful class that packs an incredible punch. It is even on par with it's fellow soldier classes. It definitely trumps Krogan, Baterian and Vorcha in terms of weapon damage. So why don't I like it. Just not my cup of tea. I want to do more than just shoot enemies.
That said, the soldier does have two amazing powers. Adrenaline rush provides a huge boost to weapon damage, a decent boost to hardening and restores shields. Concussive shot is an underrated gem, that does good damage to barriers, knocks unprotected foes over and does a tiny bit of damage. Then theres a frag grenade that is actually good. (There are no rubbish grenades. That is a fact!) I just find frag grenades to be boring.
[6/10] Is one of the best soldiers when it comes to weapon based DPS. The two marksmans and the N7 Devastator are all strong competitors for best weapon based DPS in the soldier class. However, I personally find the soldier class to be MOSTLY uninteresting].

My favorite before the singularity buff was Human Engineer, then it was Human Adept and now thanks to this thread... Human Soldier + Claymore. It is awesome though i'm still not very good at reload-cancelling... xD

I like them all about equal to be honest, they're all still really fun.
But I've been recently picking up the Infiltrators. One build made for the Sniping with Ice, and one for a Wraith with Sticky Grenades.

Achire is the master here: http://social.biowar...index/14019942.
It's a great thread to start loving the Novaguard.
If you think that you can only take the Krogan and the Batarian vanguards to gold because they're the sturdiest, you're wrong
Novaguard is the best tank in the game.
That said, it's not that the other vanguards are bad on gold... Drellguard and Slayer are my two favourite overall kits. They are simply awesome. If you need some advice on them, please feel free to ask, I like to help people understand their greatness.
In all that I said, I meant no offense and no brag
