If I click on one of the thread links on the main page (where many people have been making posts) I get this message in red 'You have requested an invalid category.'  Is this a private thread or a thread in a private group or something along those lines?  If so there should be a way of not having it even show up on my page.

I get that too, and was about to sugest the same thing. Private posts should not show up in "What's New"
