Yes it is very simply. The warden react once the the Blight have started to destroy Fereldan and is lucky that his reaction is fast enough to prevent totalt destruction. A good portion of the south of Fereldan is destroyed, though.

You have a very different dictonary than the rest of us, and quite frankly either you are misunderstanding them or simply have a dictionary that none of us acknowlegde as valid.

For the last time, Reactive does not mean Reaction.

Reactive is the adjective of the noun reaction.

A reaction is a response to an action/even/sitation that has begun

reactive adj describes somebody/something which/who acts in response to a a stimuli/action/event/situation that has begun as oppossed to proactive which is the about preventing/controlling/creating an action/event/situation that has not yet started.

react - vb, is the person having an reaction or what a reactive person does.

I can't see anymore where this is going.
For what are you debating this? To prove who is more heroic with their actions? Which story is better?
The answer is: the Warden is more heroic and Da2 story is much more complex. Both heroes are great in their respective settings and if you like them or not is completely subjective.

Proaction, reaction, definitions and physics have nothing to do with this anymore. It's getting silly.

Also, in reference with the OP thread, I'll say that I've enjoyed both journeys, they allowed me to explore a quite diverse and fascinating fantasy world.
With one being an epic hero and the other being the tragic one, they let me explore the world and the sides that exist in it and, as I love tragic stories and heroes swept by the circumstances, DA2 allowed me to be one, and damn, it was nice.

It is getting silly. I see you acknowledged that The Hero' s are different, all Im doing is hilighting their differences' s in attempt to explain why I prefer one Journey to the other. An attempt that' s falling on death ear' s because people are trying to tell me both characters' s are the same. People often say "You dont need a big evil" in a critique of Origins as if that' s all the game was, what I liked about it was that you had the Freedom to get to know your companion' s, The ones you wanted to know, The plot didnt demand that you had to get to know them. I liked the Political aspect of Origins' s, a King' s death, a Fallen Hero/General, A bastard son, and the Landsmeet ran away with my heart. DA2 just....meh, pick a side because this already happend.

I like Origin' s, and I like DA2 for it' s combat and Artwork, but DA2 is more like a movie not a game. Hell I made 3 Hawke' s cant be that bad.

No, we are not telling you that both characters are the same, we are simply saying that proaction is not what define either of them.

Which isn't strange, because proaction rarely defines a fantasy hero.

You forgot the Emotional definition of Reactive, Esper.

We Have Action and Equal and Opposite reaction.

We are making progress here Esper, now you understand that Reactive and Proactive are type' s of reaction' s to a situation.

But you keep putting "before it happen' s" as your qualifier for Proactivty, in all defnition' s "before it happen' s" is not required.

Good Jesus

Esper, What Im talking about is THE PLOT and how it' s carried out with the Warden IN TERM'S of Proactive vs. Reactive approach.

What you guy' s keep telling me is about how the Warden and Hawke "FEEL" and their personal motivation' s, which are all subjective.

Thread now so far off topic I'm not even sure what it's about.

I'm going to be reactive to this discussion by proactively shutting it down. Get your own thread, people.
