That's like saying my character who specializes in shotguns and CQC should also be an expert sniper, because it provides more content.

Or that everyone should have the same council in all of their games because dialouge and cutscenes shouldn't be just paragon or renegade choice exclusive.

They need more uniqueness, and this is one very promising way to do it.

Besides, as it stands now all shepards are pretty much soliders, since they never use anything but their guns in cutscenes and shepard being a biotic was only brought up once in the entire series.

Actually, if Shepard is a biotic then it is brought up once in ME1 (though the dialog is bugged to the point that Kaidan will say it even to non-biotics at times). And 4 times in ME3 if Shepard plays a biotic based class.

- During one of the dialog options with Kaidan when he is in the hospital.
- If you shot kaidan during the coup and talk to Liara afterwards on the ship, she will mention Shepard being a biotic.
- The time capsule scene with Liara, all clases gets their own special line when described by her.
- If you bring Kaidan with you to the AY monastary and Samara is alive, Shepard and Kaidan both admit that they do not know the "feather fall" trick.

So yes, plenty of class specific content in ME3. Much to the horror of David I would imagine.

As for my opinion on the matter. All I can say is I hope Bioware will have a class specific interrupt for all classes here and there in the next DLC. It does not have to be anything major in terms of impact on the story, just a small nod and acknowledgement of our Shepard's class.

But vanguards aren't trained in electroincs, and reactor control. Would you feel stupid IRL if you couldn't say... operate a nuclear power station?

Your vanguard is a CQC expert, not a technical specialist.

Someone who trained as a EOD shouldn't have the same level of skill as a sniper.

A military IT specialist should not have the same level of skills and endurance in combat as a pararescue man.

And
a combat specialist without technical proficency should not have the
same level of expertise with programing as a tech specalist.

So it makes a lot of sense really, but I can see why it might be a little bad.

I know, but it still hurts. :P

I didn't have kaiden alive in any of my playthroughs so I missed most of those. :D

I think a Vanguard should have an interrupt where Shepard just goes Bruce Lee on some poor sap. Close quarters combat indeed.

Great. Now go and hack the catalyst. Reprogram him to harvest wheat and bake bread.

But what about... cereal?

It would be a neat feature in the next DLC. It might be difficult to do, but here's hoping.

class specific content is a great idea as far as I'm concerned, just as background specific content beyond ME1 would have been a great idea!

That being said, although maybe it's a "better late than never" thing, testing it out for a potential ME4, I think it's pretty damn too late to start with it in some DLC.

The interrupt doesn't acually do anything, If you waith through the dialogue you get the same result.

Not so. If you wait, Aria will be very upset. If you "engineer it", they're both pleased. If you don't care what Aria thinks, that's fair enough. The result is still not the same.

I wouldn't mind more stuff like this. But I guess I'll believe it when I see it.

Why stop at interrupts? Now that we know that there is class-specific not-interactive dialog (thanks for the info, Lizardviking) and it works great, it's clear that unique dialog options for classes would be even better.

One can recall additional dialog options in kotor 2, although they appeared based not on a class, but on the level of certain skill. Of corse, it was back when characters had skills in addition to combat abilities, and also when most of the dialog wasn't voiced.

You can add 1 more "biotic-interrupt" to ME3's tally. First time I've seen it in the ENTIRE series as well...

If you are a biotic and go with Jack to the armax arena..you actually use biotics in your cutscene with here whereas non-biotics use a weapon....

I havent played the citadel with my "cannon" adept shep yet but I'm looking forward to this. I love any time my class is acknowledged by the game.

Any furture ME universe centric games should really include this as it helps with immersion.
