Is Tactical Cloak Too Powerful? UPDATED WITH TALK OF BUFFS!

EDIT: I WOULD SUPPORT RESTORING TACTICAL CLOAK TO ITS PRE-NERF STATE IF:

1. The damage bonus only applied to weapons, not powers or melee.

OR

2. Tactical Cloak was made like Adrenaline Rush in that you can only cast powers while it's active if you choose the rank 6 evolution.

Ok, now everybody resume raging at me.

I posted this in another thread, but it is quickly filling up with name calling and insults, so I thought I'd repost it in my own thread and hopefully get some intelligent discussion.

1. Infiltrators can get an 80% additive weapon damage bonus. They can also get a 25% multiplicative damage bonus on top of that with sniper rifles. The second best any other class can get is a 70% additive bonus for longer duration with Adrenaline Rush.

2. Infiltrators can get an 80% additive power damage bonus. No other class can come close to that.

3. Infiltrators can get a 130% additive melee damage bonus.  Not even a raging Krogan can match that.

4. Infiltrators can carry a super heavy gun and still have all their powers on a 3 second cooldown by ending cloak as soon as it is cast. No other class can even come close to carrying as much weaponry and not worrying about cooldowns.

If you think Tactical Cloak is fine as is, please explain why. I think it is unacceptable for the Infiltrator to completely outclass everything else in FOUR categories.

Tactical Cloak is a loved power. So dont expect much support.

You will evoke the same respones here. Nerfers dont usually get much support. You may say its just balance but your still a nerfer

The most reasonable argument for tac cloak not being broken (that I`ve seen to date) is this : NERFDUCKNERFDUCKNERFDUCK.

1. It's 25% multiplicative.

2. Over a maximum of 2.5s. AR gives up to 70% for up to 6.8s and reloads your gun, doubles your base shields. MM gives you an effective 50% multiplicative bonus on burst dps for many guns for up to 10.2s.

I do however agree that TC might have a little too many benefits for its 'drawbacks'.

But why shouldn't it be nerfed?  I listed several reasons it should.  What are your defenses?  If one option is vastly superior to all other options, I am putting myself at a needless disadvantage by not choosing it.  That's a balance issue.

Besides the reload cancel you can do with the power, its not all powerful.

Your cloak drops off abit once you fire ashot and on higher difficulties and more advanced enemies can still find you cloaked. Not to mention you have to keep recasting. Meanwhile sentianls, krogans, and batarians get a constant passive. And as for beating the score board on a team work based multiplayer , any good player can beat someone that's using something op. Though the score is never seen after that round

The only "issue" with TC is that it overrides all CD on any skill. Fix that and all this stupid TC Nerf talk would stop.

Score is irrelevant as skill trumps kits.  But why do you think that my reasons aren't enough?  I think TC gives Infiltrators too many advantages.  How do you defend TC giving all 4 bonuses I listed?

I agree that is a major point.  I would be happy if they made TC like Adrenaline Rush.  If you want to cast a power while cloaked, choose the rank 6 evolution.  That would really be enough to placate me.

I fixed that several minutes ago.  Also, I have completed the 200 wave challenges with the Salarian and Quarian Female Infiltrators recently.  Please respond to my points and not an irrelevant typo.  I actually want to know why people defend TC.

Yes, TC is overpowered/broken. People only defend it because playing as an inf is the easiest way to get credits in this game.
