Berserker @ lvl 7 1st playthrough possible?

I gathered Oghren can teach it to the PC but having him in the party is counter-productive if the PC is also a DD warrior, and getting the tome is only possible after Landsmeet, which would mean at fairly the end of the game?
All responses are appreciated because depending on them I might choose another class than warrior for my 1st playthrough.

I managed
You can buy the berserker book from Gorim in Denerim market, btw. So there is a quick way if you can get the gold.

Do what I did, and roll a mage to get whatever specialization you want. Then play whatever else you want.

Is there a way to unlock the Berserker specialization before you reach level 7 on your first playthrough? If not, around which level could I expect get it if I would concentrate on quests related to getting this specialization?

Yes. It's pretty close to possible. I haven't tried it but you can certainly do Orzamar first. If you're a DW warrior, run with Morrigan, Allistair, and Lelianna or Dog. Orzamar will be your first stop. I'd make a wager that you'll be level 9 by the time Ohgren joins your party. Buy him all the ale gifts in Lothering and Orzamar and bring him back to camp and talk to him. You can talk to him before you save Branka. I'm not entirely sure if you can get him high enough to teach you berserker but even if you can't you won't be much higher than level 11 when you finish Orzamar if it's stop numero uno.
And if you're going 2H, to be perfectly honest, the 2H trees are much more useful than the berserker tree anyway. So just stay normal warrior until you get berserker, filling up the bottom two 2h trees first and taking the first. AoE knockdown swipe and destroyer are pretty awesome.
You'll be able to take beserker at level 7-11 (somewhere in there) and you'll unlock a second specialization at 14. I strongly recommend champion or templar since reaver is next to useless right now. You can get champion by 14 by focusing on the redcliffe/urn quest chain.

The one that you can only get the tome after Landsmeet is Assassin, which is another that can take a bit of time to unlock (although getting it from Zev can still be done pretty early in game if you do one of the shorter treaty missions first). Honestly, though, it's Assassin, Reaver, Champion and Blood Mage that require some play-time to get. The others are no trouble- buy books, talk to a relatively easy to get along with NPC, or bug your party members.

Hmm. I couldn't talk to Oghren, either on the road or in camp, till after dealing with Branka. If that's WAI I don't think you could solve the whole sodding Orzammar subplot "in time" to get Berserker at 7 even if you go there right after Lothering.
I think it's WAI unfortunately. Me, I bought the book in Denerim on my first playthrough after finding out that specializations were account-wide and not just character-wide.
