Excellent research OP.

Going to be upset when they get around to patching it.

Yep. They're gonna patch it as fast a SMG ULM. We've got like almost half a year.

Are you sure the weight is increased on the PPR? I don't notice a difference. Is there any available proof/testing for this? All other weapons listed in the OP appear to be correct...

Edit:  Being discussed in another thread as well.  Yes/No can't be too long...

yes, weight is increased on PPR unfortunately

take the steps on page 1 and you can see what works and what doesnt work precisely with cooldowns before and after

Is this what some call "clever use of game mechanics"?

I wonder what Gallows fwen has to say about this.

In the meantime, my Salarian Infiltrator is gonna work miracles with his Black Widow shooting mooks through walls without drill ammo while debuffing armored units with Proximity Mine and draining Marauders' shields. Thanks a lot.

I tested it in game about 15 minutes ago.  It does add weight to the PPR...:(

Well it should matter because you definitely add weight on these 3 sniper rifles. It also POSSIBLY matters if you carry a sidearm w/ ULM equipped AND it matters if you go to your weapon selection screen to look at your weapons/mods as it will revert to added weight mods

How exactly does one check the cooldowns in the powers screen? The only way I've ever seen the percentage is from the weapons screen, which you can't look at after you re-select your character? What am I missing?

Is it just the recharge speed for each individual power?

How do we know that it is not the powers screen that is bugged instead of the mods? The only way to know if the mods are bugged is too time the powers in game.

Yeah, individual power recharge speed.

Exactly. Hopefully we will see some proof when a video gets posted in another thread, although I don't know if all scenarios are being tested, such as two non-ULM weight penalty mods on the same gun.

Because I have already gone through several mod combination loadouts and timed and tested it. If you take the simple steps listed on page 1 and check your power recharge times, THEY ARE TRUE, ACCURATE, AND CORRECT!

yes, it is the recharge speed of the powers. it will change when you go from the weapon screen, then back to character screen. look at power screen again at your recharge times. what it shows here is true concerning heavy mods being weightless

1. have you also confirmed that the benefit of the mod remains when you trick the system into ignoring weight?

2. You aren't saying that you can after all apply these mods penalty free to DLC weapons, are you? Just that you can check with this method to see or not.

I was just wondering.. Has the Weight-Bug got fixed with the new DLC?
Probably it's just my imagination, but sometimes I tend to think, that it got fixed on some of the weapons.

I'm surprised no-one's answered yet.

Any gun that's on the disk can potentially be used with weight adding mods without incuring the weight cost.

But, the bug is actually buggy too, so occasionally the weight will be applied correctly when you wouldn't expect it to be, so be careful.

Also, equipping any ULM mods on either gun will cause the weight to be added, so don't try to use a omniblade Graal with an ULM hurricane for example.

A list of gun's that the bug doesn't work on:
Striker Assault Rifle.
Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle.
M-11 Suppressor.
Acolyte.
Reegar Carbine.
N7 Piranha.
Geth Plasma SMG.
Krysae Sniper Rifle.
Collector Sniper Rifle.
Kishock Harpoon Gun.
Geth Spitfire.
Particle Rifle.
M-7 Lancer.
N7 Typhoon.
Cerberus Harrier.
Venom Shotgun.
Collector SMG.
Blood Pack Punisher.

There's a bunch of guns such as the AT-12 Raider that people sometimes call DLC guns because they were locked at the games release, and only made available from the store at a later date, but the bug does work on them.

The chakram launcher is an example of a gun that's on the disk, but was never unlocked in the store, but some PC players have gained access to it via modding, just to highlight the point that these "locked" gun's aren't DLC.

EDIT: Apart from being out of date, the OP's info is good, the bit about going into the power screen, memorising the purported cooldown times with weight adding mods, then returning to the default character screen, then returning to the power screen to see if the power cooldowns have returned to their normal values is useful.

Just don't return to the weapon select screen on that kit, because it'll re-calculate the cooldowns, fixing the bug, so if you need to change the loadout of a weight bugged kit, always return to the default character screen immediately afterwards to re-apply the bug.

Meh, I've had the glitch come and go during matches with my BW drell dept and other kits. Not worth the trouble of having recharge times suddenly double in wave six, or whenever.

I'd take half a match with zero weight penalty. Albeit I'd rather it be the second half than the first, given a choice.

But I use this bug/glitch routinely. It's become a "game feature" in my mind. In practice it's not that big a factor, as I learn a combo's rhythm and you just learn to deal. Especially as if you are going for combo damage the weapon damage is of little import - no need for a heavy shotty if you are just delivering incendiary ammo.
