Is there any chance that the Toolset download will ever be available for owners of the console versions? I'm NOT talking about a toolset on the console, the toolset would be the same as it is now (on the computer). I'm NOT expecting to be able to upload mods to the xbox, i would just like the ability to make cinematics on my computer

So maybe after we register our game, the full game (minus story and all unneeded files) becomes available for download but it is only accessible via the toolset. And the toolset download also becomes available for us but instead of the full-fledged toolset, we dont need to be able to create a playable mod, just things like:

Create an environment
Place Characters and edit their armor/weapons and stats
and anything else cinematic wise

Any chance this would happen? As i stated before i dont expect to be able to upload mods to the console, just want to get creative!

some of you arnt getting what im saying so this is what i DO want and do NOT want

DO want:

• I DO want a toolset download for THE COMPUTER available for OWNERS of the console versions
• I DO want a fullgame download (not exactly full, take away the story and unneeded files to prevent piracy)
• I DO want the ability to create cinamatics

What i DO NOT want:

• I DO NOT want a toolset for the xbox
• I DO NOT want the ability to create a playable mod as there is no need since there is no way to transfer

oh and another thing:

SCREENSHOTS!!!!  When xbox got the fall update that included facebook and twitter, it was stated that some games can take screenshots and send to facebook...any chance a deal will be made with microsoft allowing screenshots to be sent here?

We'd like to do some updates to the toolset that may indirectly help with this request - I don't know if it will do exactly you're asking for though, and I don't really have an ETA at this point.



To be clear (and the OP isn't looking for this, but for the benefit of others) - the toolset will never be available to run on consoles. And the toolset will not produce content that works on consoles.



To set realistic expectations, our priority needs to remain on supporting the game first, then the current toolset, and then we can look at new toolset features etc.

So we will never see any efforts on Bioware's part to bring community content to consoles? Is this a technical, financial or bureocratic decision?

I never said that.  I said the public toolset we've released is not able to do this.
