A long time ago I stopped playing this game for some reason. Upon returning, I've found that all of my saves made after a certain point have been corrupted somehow. When I attempt to load them, it simply tells me they've been corrupted. Attempting to load the saves with the toolset reports no errors, but the files are apparently empty. A third party tool (I forget which one) was able to read a lot of the contents, however.
I really don't feel like losing dozens of hours of playtime. Is there anything I can do to fix my saves? Could I magic a new save at roughly the same point? Shall I just tearfully abandon all hope and perhaps come back in several years to restart?

Its definitely an uphill battle for you...
Saves may appear corrupted if they have been saved while certain mods were active. You would have go through your mod list, and ensure they are active when you attempt to load your game. Are all of the saves corrupt (autosaves, different characters etc)?
