In short, Sinfar offers:

• A vast (thousands of areas) and beautiful (each area is decorated in a unique way) world where it is possible to do most things that this game permits (Social, RP, PvP, PvM), with very few restrictions (hence why the server is rated 18+).
• A large population (100+ people online at peak times) of NWN players.
• An hub for all the custom content that has been made for NWN, for years: We offer an incredible amount of customization for your character and house.
• A sandbox for builders: Our builder team is always open for skilled builders but even as player, you can use toolset to build your house and be able to put more things in it than if it was for your own module.

General Information:

• Rating: Adults Only
• Setting: Various, Open The world is split into 3-4 archipelagos, each archipelagos consists of several islands and each island may have its own setting. As for the main island: Sinfar, it is a mix of many settings. You can as much meet prehistoric characters than sci-fi robots. It looks weird, but it makes unique RP.
• Vault Type: Server
• Population: ~80 / Unlimited The server appear to have a maximum of 200 online players but it can easily be increased.
• Level Range: 1-40
• Enforce Legal Characters: Yes It appears to be off in Gamespy because we are using a custom system, but we are very strict on that: All characters must have valid stats. Even items are automatically validated: We have strict rules for items and even DMs must follow them.
• Item Level Restrictions: Yes Again, it appears to be off in Gamespy because we are using a custom system, but it is not possible to need to be level 40 to equip the best items in all your equipment slots. The different with the default system is that the restriction is base on your full equipment and not per item. For example a level 20 character may use 2 level 10 items or 1 level item but not 2 level 20 items.
• Difficulty Level: Normal to Hard The difficulty mostly come from the fact that you can only use an equipment permitted by your level and a level 40 can't kill things for you or buff you and go.
• Magic Level: Medium An example of best equipment (all items included) you can get is: +5 AC (of each type), +5 AB, +1d8 physical damage, +12 saving throws, + 24 abilities, haste, +18 skills.
• Leveling Rate: Fast It shouldn't take you more than 1 weeks to reach level 40. Powergamers can do it possibly in one day.

Gameplay Categories and Ratio:

• IC Chat: 40%
• Players vs Environment: 30%  = Travelling, Exploring, Hunting, Looting...
• OOC Chat: 20%
• Players vs Players: 10%  = Character build testing, IC conflicts, Special Events...

Features:
I first want to say that there's way too many features to list them all here. As posted above, Sinfar is nearly unlimited... the limits of this game have been pushed in many ways: world/module size, amount of players in a single server and even single area, amount of custom content and, of course, the gameplay range.

So I will only list here things that you will probably find no where else and for which I have a demo.

A legendary housing system:

• You can build your house in toolset
• You can update your house when you want, as much as you want and it will be instantly live in game. A player even had the idea to build an hologram by using this feature:http://youtu.be/Qn1FUl8RPTM
• You can customize your areas as much as you want, add placeables, doors, transitions, waypoints, traps, and even creatures
• You can add as many placeables as yo want (600 per area)

• All placeables inventory in your house are persistent
• Houses are accessible, you dont don't even need to grind for days to buy one
• Houses are unlimited... you can have more than one per character

A very dynamic world:
Despite being scarily large, most area are supported by at least one builder, ready to adapt the areas base on IC actions, just like any player can update their house.
In fact, There's a team of above 20 experienced builders that support the world of Sinfar and they have access to a unique CMS (Content Management System) which allow them to all build at the same time without creating conflicts or corrupting the module. All the development is live and the CMS include many tools to help them including a script editor, conversation editor, a faction, loot, weather and dynamic text system:

A Web Client
You can chat with people in game from your browser, you using your phone or tablet and without having to be logged in game:

But people also use it in game, because it let you:

• type longer emotes and still see what you are typing

• use easily the custom chat channels (OOC, Action, Event...)
• have all chat message automatically translated in your native language
• see the timestamp of each chat message
• keep chatting and dont miss any tell, even when:
  • you are in a dialog with an NPC and your in game chat box gets flooded
  • you are in a transition
  • your game is lagging
  • you are relogging
  • you crashed
• select/copy/paste/drag-drop text

Tried this one about 6 months ago,joined the forum and dl,d the haks,hak,s didnt work at the time so I moved on.

Now,i have a new pc i thought i would try again,however i cant remember the forum password and my copy of nwn is new!,so i have the hak,s installed,but it wont let me play because of the new cd key,and i cant rejoin the forum to get it changed because the code to rejoin is on the sever welcome board,can someone pm me it?

Good questions!

When you CD Key change, you must send me a PM on Sinfar forum (http://forum.sinfar.net), This is to protect your account, no one can even log in your vault except you.
If you really need to log, like to find out what is the forum code, then you can use a dummy account that no one else used before.
