I've seen many people complain that they can barely manage redcliff undead swarm, but. . .I dunno whats up with me, after my 3rd time through, I find it a tad too long, but otherwise, nothing is extremely difficult.  All the miltia survive, and we all live happily ever after..  .. ((haha, joke)

I find the *best* way to do it is this, and from a roleplay reason, I did it so):

1) Finish up everything in Lothering.  (for the roleplayers) I overheard that there were monsters running amok in the Circle tower, so, despite the Arl's poor predicament, this warranted some investigating by my girl.  So off I went.

2) clear up the Tower, and spend a little time doing the side quests here, especially the Watchguard of Reaching (?).  The sword is really nice for Sten, unless you've bumped his faction up and have Asala.

3) went back to camp, I needed to sell, and do some stuff, oh, who is this Levi Dryden guy. . . .OH!  Naturally, I will do this man a favor in Duncan's name.  (Go do Warden's Keep.  The armor is really nice for any tank character.)

4) no more delays, get to Redcliff!  Here, you really really need to do some work.  ((if you have the box for Jetta, she really appreciates it))

5) do all your dialogue, yadda yadda, if your a female, flirt with the Bann ;)  Go out, talk to Murdok.   He wants weapons and armor, means you'll have to sauce up the Blacksmith.  Oh wait, he's beaten you to it, so just convince him to do it by promising to find his daughter.

- Ask Murdok if tehre is anything you can do, he wants to you to get the crotchety dwarf, Dwyn to help.  How you conscript him is up to you.  Gold, intimidation, persuasion, do what you must.

- Talk to Ser Perth, he wants protection for his knights, whether he gets it or not, he doesn't seem to care.  After you talk to the Revered mother, but before you go back to Ser Perth, go check out the general store.  There are some barrels in there full of oil.  Hip Hip Hooray!!

- Wait, don't go to Ser perth yet. . .head up to the Tavern for a Drink.  Talk to the chick, she'll tell you about that funny looking elf in the corner, Berwick.  Turns out, the man is a Spy. . .*sighs* slap him around a bit, then tell him to help out the militia.  THATS RIGHT, ELF, FIGHT!!  (ding, extra fighter #1)

-Talk to that fat jerk at the bar.  Get some wares, do what you must.  Then intimidate him into fighting with the Militia (this turns out to be pretty beneficial, if the fat sot lives, which won't be too hard).  DING!!  Extra fighter #2!!
-Now, go talk to Ser Perth, and tell him about the oil in the general store.

-FInd Kaitlyn's brother, hiding in their house.  And convince him to give you the key to get the sword.  the sword is nice, might up the DPS.  Not something critical, is why I saved it for last.

My group make up is this:
1) Wynne.  She is nice for teh heals and CC.  CC IS IMPORTANT ON WYNNE!!  Mindblast and Force Field are A MUST
2) Morrigan for the DPS and CC.  Mind Blast and Force field and cold enchantment (or fire).
3) Alister for the heavy armor (unless your main is the tank.  You want to be wearing the heaviest stuff for the chantry portion of the fight).
4) you, unless your the tank, then take Lelianna or Sten for much needed DPS.

The upper portion of teh fight is easy.  You just kinda maul em as they come through the fire mosh pit.  They lose only about 10-15% of tehir health when they do, but it when every mob comes through like that, it makes a big difference.  No healing is really neccessary up here.

When Thomas comes up and says that they are attacking from the lake, give your orders and quickly PAUSE THE GAME!!
You can zoom out, and rotate the camera *just so* so that you can select all 4 members and have them race down to the middle of the area in front of the chantry.  Just 1 click, and you'll outrun Thomas there, and won't stutter as you keep clicking over and over, and the AI is so much better than if you were to use teh WASD keys.
Another note here.  MAKE SURE WYNNE AND MORRIGAN ARE DEAD CENTER OF THE AREA!!!!  Again, mind blast will be your firend here.

Once down there, have Morrigan Force field the YELLOW devouring corpse.  Have Wynne run damage control healing.  TAB will be of great use here.  Another Yellow devouring corpse will either be there already or on its way, have Wynne force field that one immediately.  before it even enters camp.   While wynne is healing, instruct all three remaining chars to killing teh same target.  Doing it this way, the white weenie mobs will not do enough damage to further hurt your allies so that you can just maul them.  By the time you are on your remaining one, the first force field will be wearing off.  Take care of that yellow mob.  The second will be dropping too, but it should agro the tank, so let it beat on you, You can use health poultices, the NPC allies do not.

Once the 2 yellow corpses are dead, things kinda go into coast mode.  The mobs come 2-6 at a time, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue.  Just have Wynne toss out heals to the NPCs if they look like they need it ( I did mention TAB before, right?  It's your firend here) and make sure everyone is beating the same undead up.  After awhile, it just looks like a gang bang as everyone is assualting teh same mob.  Everyone should live, again, just have Wynne watch out for the NPCs, but after the intial swarm you beat off, they don't need too many heals too often, but don't forget them.

I do find, however, that 1 maybe 2 corpses got *stuck* for whatever reason, they are just kinda chillin.  Send out one person to dispatch it (or them).  Come morning, all live, and you get a special item for ensuring everyone lives.  If even just one person dies, you don't get it.  All must live.  And now, you da man.

Go back to the Tavern.  Lloyd thinks he's a man now, because he helped out.  *sighs* what a douche, but listen to him anyways.  He thinks that the ring he has is what protected him.  Grateful, he gives it to you.  Now aren't you glad you made him go?

Now, go rescue the Arl.
