Taking Mr. Hanlon's word.
It's possible bowstrings aren't in the game yet since it was pre-alpha footage. I'm sure they'll get around to it. Now my final "small details" I want to see in the game is cleaner animations(mocap?) and scabbards. In the short videos I've seen, it seems Bioware has nailed most of my pet peeves with their games.

Gameinformer gave us nothing specifically regarding archery(of course), but did say that the way it works now, characters in the squad that are of a particular class can have their weapon types switched on the fly, meaning our squaddie archers should be able to use daggers as well, and if they've got daggers normally, we can give them a bow and some arrows to rain hell on our foes.
It also hopefully means I can be like Guts from Berserk, and go from swinging a bigass sword, to shooting my Repeating crossbow.

Also, it makes me think, wouldn't it be cool being able to wear prothesis in Inquisition? or any other fantasy RPG.

Anyways, I don't see why a weapon swap would be solely restricted to Rogues.

the green arrow is a very cool archer in fiction. he has arrows of different types in his quiver and, not including the arrow with a boxing glove on the end, would be an interesting way to broaden the ability and functionality of archery. you could have a line of talents like in the previous game, but also, you could invest in a specific type of arrow that you could use a certain amount of times each day/between camps...I read they are limiting potions and arrows would work the same. you could have 5 silence arrows a day, 5 fireball arrows, 5 armor piercing, etc...
In the comics yes he is really is one of DCs best..I had always hoped Maverl could somehow buy him form DC as he would be even better there.
As in that stooopid show "Arrow" though.....dreadful

marvel would do a good job, but I like him with DC. DC started doing a good job with character interaction long before marvel, at least in my mind. whenever they relaunched him, around 2005, i think, it was very good

Don't know how likely that will be. Laidlaw did say that dual weapon fighting was more of a rogue thing, so he might think any sort of archery should stick to rogues as well.
Am I the only one that disagrees with this? I can see rogues being the only class to dual wield daggers, but why can't a warrior duel wield two longswords? It takes strength to do that, which warriors specialize in.

Its also why archery is rogue-only.

I'd really-really love to get an archer spec for a warrior with crossbow.
This 'chain' thing heavily reminds me of how ranged tanks in SW:TOR worked. So, I wish they gave us a ranged warrior as an option. Chain is awesome, because that's a CC-friendly pull\\taunt. With the proper AI scripting (tactics) for the rest of party, it might be so very nice and fun.
I know what I'm talking about, I played vanilla sawbones scoundrel, that hit her level cap before 1.2, when Corso Riggs still HAD his harpoon 8).
And those who wish to - still may perform 'classics' and bash into crowd with their shields, sword+shield spec is definitely here to stay.
