I have tried reinstalling twice.  But every time I close the game (after installing) and try to reopen, I get the following error:

'The following file could nto be found:  DAOriginsLauncher.xml'

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?  I used to be able to play this game with no problem, no I cannot play the game at all.

I had the same problem. I don't know how to fix, but there is an alternative to laucnher DAO.



1) Go to C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship

2) Find the daorigins.exe file

3) Right click it and choose "make shortcut"

4) Place this shortcut on your desktop



From that you can launch the game. Hope that helps

I have the same problem too.....But I can't find the entire folder of the game...This is a common error?

I have the same problem but C:\\\\Program Files\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship doesnt exist on my computer because i uninstalled the game. How am I supposed to download the launcher without the game itself? I figured that would be part of the installation process but i guess not. It's ok Bioware already cheated me out of $30 of dlc may as well rob me of another 90 for the game and the expansion

i have same problem as rest. I get the Error: The following file could not be found: DAOriginsLaunher.xml



I can find all file in my DA file but no matter what i press i stil get same Error. Tryed reinstaling and stil same thing. Any one have a ide?

No idea. Just trying to load the game for the first time since September, and I'm getting the same error. Uninstalled, re-downloaded and re-installed, nothing helps. Can't open the game.

Wait, I have the steam version (ultimate edtion) I have the launcher open, but it won't let me change it, I can't seem to find anyone who has this problem, does anyone more technical than I know what the problem is?

I'm afraid you will need to be more clear.  What are you trying to change?  If you wish to make another shortcut, follow the instructions at the top of this page and make sure you are right-clicking on the executable, not left-clicking.  Games from Steam have their own folder within the Steam folder under Programsx86 on your C drive.
