Would anyone else be interested in ME3MP becoming its own game?

Expanded upon, of course.

I was playing Battlefield 3 right after playing ME3MP, and my brain did a late night "what if" blending the two.

Much larger maps, vastly more enemies at once, possibly vehicles, and even more potential for multiple squads of players.

So kinda like Battlefield 3, only there's no players on the enemy team, its just CRAPTONS of enemies for players to fight through.

Ideally, Dead Rising levels of enemies on the map, for multiple squads to fight against.

What do you think?  Take the classes we have now, but huge maps, lots, lots, lots more enemies to fill said map, and multiple squads, rather than just one.

Could do different objectives, such as "hold this position", and "eliminate key targets" would be MUCH more challenging since you'd need to fight your way to the target, could even have vehicles, etc.

I for one, would TOTALLY but that as a standalone game.  Anyone else?  Or any other ideas for this?

So long as its not PVP,  though.  The classes in this game aren't designed for that.

I like the ME3 MP, it was a complete surprise hit, not only to me and quite a few others but most possibly also for the ME3 MP team aswell, so I have no doubt what we got was a "try it out if it works" kinda project and with the evident success, they WILL expand (and frankly, even if they didn't want, EA would definately want them to so there you go).

But PvE can only go so far. I know their are a crapton of possible gamemodes (I have surmised a few myself and others did so too, stuff like base assault, king-of-the-hill, last-stand just to name the obvious ones) but in the end I do not think it would work as a complete standalone game.

BUT, I think it would do as a standalone addon so to speak. Like the MP? Expand on your pleasure and buy the completely optional MP addon for more game modes, more enemies, more maps, more (new) weapons, more kits (and IF we get vehicular game mode sections or alike: more vehicels), etc. pp.
Free DLC would obviously go down considerably though then, because obviously if the MP is a fullblown game instead of the little extra, there'll be much more finances and work involved. I suppose we'd get "hors d'oeuvres DLCs" that contain a selected variation of the new stuff to get our appetite running, but both the frequency aswell as the content would most probably not compare to what we got now. It'd be much more fiscal.

But in the end, if it's a good product, I'd pay for it.

However, BioWare would really have to step up their game because afaik they'vce never done an MP on that scale before, so natureally there's a higher chance for things to go wrong too.

nope.

Mass Effect Multiplayer 2.0 should venture into RPG area imho, with objective-based missions and some optional short cutscenes.

Single player drives the Multiplayer, you need a story mode, you need weekend events to take it to the next level. People ;love the MP to also be able to use the wide variety of characters to fight on the good side that they cannot do in SP

ME can become like call of duty if they do the next game very well, they can really make it a yearly or 2 year game at a time imo

That's an excellent idea. You can also include "Super Boss's" in that mix.

Geth: Colossus

Reaper: Harvester

Cerberus: Mech (A really big Mech)

Collectors: (?????)

The possibilities could be endless!

Wouldn't work well without PVP.

actually, the MMO was done like this way before.
here were MEO (Mass Effect Online) but it was put on the back burner if ME3 MP fail
for Warhawk like type MMO..
a MP version is very much highly possbile.
it is due to the fact we have Mass Effect Online that's still on back burner.

edit: you think SP drives MP? no not really. it's other way around. MP DRIVES the SP.
and second, in COOP of Battlefield 3 online you'd work together to complete the Objectives, and this is EXACTLY how MEO would work like.

No.

With a capital, underlined, bolded NO!

Not that I have anything particularily against CoD games (even though I do not like them generally) but the very idea of seperating a game series' release schedule from the actual developing cycle is one of the dumbest things you can do. And we can see the results firt hand: the CoD series has bar very few instances made almost no real progress. Year after year we get the same game that's slightly upgraded in that or this way, nothing groundbreaking. It's the same game they release year after year with what amounts to cosmetical changes. The fact that those games actually DO work as good as they do is credit to the developing team (because such a schedule is THE horror scenario for developers!).

The game's ready when it's ready, no sooner!

No PvP... Ever...

But, if ME4 ends up going the way I think it is, and as heathenistic as it might sound... I'll probably just buy it for the multiplayer.

I think the next ME MP is going to be much larger and more involved. The MP we have now is the demo of what we are going to get in the next game. I can't wait to see what they come up with :-D

No BF3 in space please.
A launcher just for ME3 MP would be nice though.

As it is?

No. Like others have mentioned, it would need some form of PVP to sell. Simply a horde mode would not cut it as a retail product.

I would love to see the co-op aspects expanded some more, but that's not likely to happen until the next sequel, on new console hardware.

gtfo with that bs.

I'd like a a co-op like borderlands, with the customisation options from ME1 (all the armour upgrades, weapon upgrades and ammo types etc).

Also no BF3/CoD Mass Effect, please. Both games are BS. I agree with BL2 coop, that would be awesome.

I detest MP with vehicles (that ruined the UT series for me). So no to that. I like close quarters combat on foot.

Otherwise I'm down for an expanded ME multi title.

I'd rather have an MMO type platform. I think the Mass Effect universe was tailor made for it. PvE gets old fast and this game can never be balanced for PvP, at least with powers. And to be frank, I wouldn't buy it if it was a pure weapon based shooter.

Bioware has made it's name with great single player RPGs.
The MP was added as an enhancement to the campaign.
I don't think Bioware should dump what it does best, for the
sake of joining the multitude of MP games already out there.
