BW needs new players to keep this going, we've lost people to all the other new games out.
The last thing any of us need to do is insult someone giving an honest opinion, it's those that BW needs to pay attention to, not us still gaming after nine months, they've got our loyalty and our money.

If anything we should be teaching the new people how to best perform, which combinations work, what weapons work, not flaming and insulting them. The game must be frustrating to a new player, all these weapons/characters/powers, pack choices, the sheer size of the draw pool must be daunting to them.

I will say this, everyone insulting him should zip it and just get off the boards, this kind of crap happened in SWTOR and it drove people away, bioware needs to reign in some of you.

Lol am i too take you seriously?? I define score **** classes as those where it seems Its easier to score points. Its obvious its going to be a lot harder to score top marks as my Volus engi. But lets explain to the forums how awesome you are!!

See guys this dude is so awesome he can own you on his Volus Engineer. You give him any class and any garbage gun and he will top the score charts and own you all. You guys feeling his ego yet!!? Wow dude I am sincerely impressed, i just pray you take it easy on the other people on your teams in ME3, for the sake of all of us here.

1. I know people who can kick my ass with a volus engineer, that thing is a beast when played right.

2. I have multiple people in my friends list in the same position. As you. Except they don't whine about it. My brother plays a silver if he runs out of medi gel. My friend plays volus when we take him to platinum.

3. With your manifest, I wouldn't even notice if you come in last with a volus, but I would think you sucked if you came in second with a DPS focused character (GI, TGI, GTS for example) instead of beating my poor FQE's ass into the ground. 

4. I'm a girl, I don't have epeen. Eboobs, maybe.

It's something that can be done for people who started after retaliation and challenges got released.

Spectre mastery tracks your points earned.

Points earned divided by games played = Average score.

Course for vets and people who started before retaliation got released they can't get their average score due to spectre mastery not counting the score from the games before retaliation.

But we can get our average match time by dividing hours played by matches played.
Course it can be off due to some reason or another.

If a vet wants to know their average they need to rememeber how many games they had played before retaliation got released.

Thats actually quite simple for new players, divede the amount of points they have earned in total(can be seen under spectre mastery) with the number of games played.

Score in spectre mastery divided by games completed. Not very accurate since it combines all 3 difficulties, and is meaningless on veteran players and people who have already completed it, thus why I don't bring up his average score.

ETA ninjaed. Also phone positing fail. See how much I want to help you Develop competentce, OP? You were the first thing I thought of when I got off my first flight.

You claimed you 'ran in stealthed' to save someone, but did when did you Cloak in order to get to them? If you did it in plain sight, then the AI knew you were there anyway.

If you cloaked in, say, a different room, then ran to the downed person, then I must ask if you were facing the Geth: a Geth Prime is highly likely to find and shoot you regardless of your cloaking situation.

'Get rid of executions?' While I agree that the situation with insta-kills can be quite BS at times (though that can be attributed more toward lag), I have to disagree with taking them out altogether. The threat of getting stomped gives players a sense of urgency to revive their downed teammate.

Just use a medi-gel if you're going to get stomped. Problem solved. Out of medi-gel? Take that as a lesson that you should stick to cover more: Hone your skillsand/or get credits for weapon upgrades on a lower difficulty, if you must.

Maybe even use a character that can create Biotic Explosions or Tech Bursts (Fire/Cryo included) to further assist your damage output.

Other than that, learn some tolerance and patience. The game isn't as bad as your post made it out to be.

how bout leveling your weapons a little more before you do GOLD games?

out of curiosity I decided to check out your N7HQ and the level of your characters and weapons. I can see you have promoted a few times (personally I find doing that pointless but each to his own) and you dont have a single uncommon weapon at V yet....

heres my personal rule of thumb if I am to play a gold match: ONLY play with lv 20 characters, play whatever character you are MOST comfortable with. not a character you dont mesh too well with, you need to be efficient... and thirdly... at LEAST have all common and uncommon weapons at X...


your just making it harder for yourself if you dont... there is NOTHING wrong with playing silver and bronze games. you dont have to be like 'the cool kids' and just play gold all the time. freel free to look at my profile and you want to know how I did it? mostly Silver games. yeah sure I often dabble in gold but ONLY when I am playing with friends because I know I can trust and rely on them when things get ugly... (dont really want to sound negative to PUG games but overall thats my experience... sure ive met some exceptions to that rule, but ive also seen people do some REALLY silly and unessicary things too...)

you know... if you were to max our your uncommon's and common weapons... you might just have enough medgel to use when you need it. (also there are 'jumbo equipment packs' to help you when you are running low on consumables)

thats just my 2 cents on the issue you are having.

I guess you check his profile for Spectre Mastery -> Points Earned, then divide by numbers of games played.
Though you'd have to account for dificulty level - even OP has mostly bronze/silver games played and very little gold, so it's actually not THAT bad.
To put it in context, I'm at barely 28k per game average - that's after playing tons of bronze and silver games, grinding my way up. Especially tons of bronze games where I rarely even got to SEE an enemy, even less SHOOT AT IT, since people with 500+ hours playing TGI with Harrier X are all over bronze games. Those were hardly fun.

And as a new'ish player (started this game early December), I can understand a lot of OP's complaints:

- If you want to have fun playing bronze or silver, you're basically forced to gung-ho out of your league, or you'll see nothing but corpses. This drains ... guess what? Yup: Med-gels. I'm constantly low on those (though recently they get drained by gold matches and solo attempts instead of failing on bronze/silver, progress FTW). Well, either med-packs, or spending most of your time in spectator mode or walking around a map littered with corpses and nothing to shoot.

- If you want to be competetive, you need good weapons - FAST! Even on bronze/silver (again, those Harrier X TGIs ...). And catching up requires purchasing those PSPs/APs, making every JEP-purchase feeling like a waste, a setback. And you can't really deny that this was easier for people who started MP on release, before all those DLC weapons - the pool of rares and URs is now so big that it's pretty hard to max out a good gun quickly instead of getting a spread of meh-level ones.


That being said, OP tried to short-cut his way to gold.
Lack of patience.
Also displayed in his opening post, which is extremely ragey and invites mockery a lot more than sympathy.

The road to gold games, to being able to play on level with others ... that road is long theses days, requires a lot of patience, and is paved with lots of frustration.
Personally, I managed. But I can understand where the OP's frustration is coming from.
Just as I can understand where the mockery by most BSN-veterans is coming from, though.

Sorry for voice-of-reason mode.

TL;DR: OP has some valid complaints, but by coming across as an ADHD-kid with entitlement issues he's getting nothing but mockery.

um, it wasn't until around 600 hours that I finished the manifest, so I am sorry you are frustrated, but to say us who have played since day one were handed our manifest is ridiculous. Learn the game mechanics, and you won't get sync killed. Will it still occasionally happen yes. Is it very avoidable, yes Geth don't sync kill, so set your map. Oh, and all the characters that can sync kill you have an action that warns you they are going to be able to sync kill you. Can I understand you are frustrated, yes. That is how I feel trying to go into Battlefield 3 with everyone knowing the maps, but comparably this game give way more of a learning curve for new players.

Viper, mantis, tempest, locust, and especially mattock at X are better than 3/4 of the gold weapons, and will take barely any time to finish maxing on silver and gold. More important than the weapon you use is (by far) the weapon mods you use. AR piercing and EB are easy to max out with veterans and make a much bigger difference to your DPS than a shiny gold weapon. Your arguments are all invalid. Buy veterans and JEPs.

Unfortunately sometimes that is what is required in life. Work harder, play better. Sync kills avoidable. Knowing the game as well as someone who has played since day one isn't going to happen. I also think that there should be a setting in options to block gold, and UR weapons on silver, and bronze. I think oppose to nerfing, and buffing all the time ti would bring a better balance to the game, because yes a harrier x on bronze is over powered. On Gold and Platinum it is one of the few guns you can actually use without spending a decade killing something. Not that you can't use an avenger, but it is going to take mega patience, and most of everything will be killed by teammates, so your score will such. The orginal posters complaints were all signs he is impatient, and wants to bypass basic learning. The way he is whinning it makes me believe he is the same kid in class that doesn't study, or do his school work and wants to copy.

Dunvi, I agree you don't need Gold wepons. Frankly, we both know many of them have be nerfed to the point they are more useless than some of the silver, and commons, but placebo effect.
