So is anyone else curious about why there are so many Qunari mercenaries in Ferelden? It seems that every other villain you run into has them as hired blades.
Now I grant that Qunari mercs are still rarer than say, human or elven mercs, but what I'm wondering about is why Qunari sellswords exist at all. From what I understand of their culture, the Qunari live in a highly regimented, conquest-minded society that is completely devoted to the betterment of the Qunari peoples and the spreading of their wisdom to everyone else. It seems quite odd that any of them would reduce themselves to fighting for money. I mean, they're not Star Wars Mandalorians or Krogans, are they?
The abundance of Qunari mercs.

Not every Qunari wants to fallow the qun, some want to be away from the Qunari people and go there own ways, At least I think.

Ask Sten about the "Fiends of Seheron" or "Tal-Vashoth" and he'll elaborate a bit about Qunari defectors.

They ended a long war with the rest of the world. You have a militant society now at peace with nothing for all these now unemployed soldiers to do. Made perfect sense to me.
