Here's the thing, DLC adds extra content where you wander away from the main story line for an hour or two to do your thing. For me, it's off putting and they usually have no payoff in the main game. It's one thing if it's a completely seperate chapter like Leliana's Song and Golems, but I think Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar could have been so much more and better intrigrated.
It would have been awesome if Alistair had a line in the Landsmeet saying to Loghain that he've seen the remnants of the battlefield... witnessed the horror or whatever. It would be a nod to you for completing the experience. I don't care about equipment so those don't apply to me.
I would honestly be more likely to buy a DLC that offered new outcomes in the main game than a completely seperate experience.
How awesome wouldn't it be to support a rebellion or whatever in Orzammar as a third option? That's probably asking for too much but maybe the side quests then? Like, tracking and hunting down Loghain's Elite Guards to make it easier for you later on... or bribe his personal squalor to make his sword suck!
I know it's far too early to tell if they're going to change the formula with DA3 but...
Am I alone in this camp?
