It's been ages since I've played DA2 so my memory isn't great basically I wanted to ask 2 things

1. If I hit the broken heart icon on a character in act 1, is there no way I can romance them later in act 2 and onwards?
2. If I just don't pick any heart icons in act 1 will I also be able to romance them in act 2 onwards?

Broken heart is permanent.

As I recall, hearts in act 1 are just additional flirting. Proper romancing is done in act 2.

Good to know , I'm playing a jerky hawke this time around so that's why I asked.
