It wasn't perfect, but I liked Dead Money (Fallout add-on).

I loved Dead Money. I was surprised at its metacritic score(70), since good games and add-ons typically score 90 or higher.

That's not really true. Virtually no DLCs ever obtain a metascore of 90 or above.

Or, and as for the thread topic, Alpha Protocol for sure.

The Saboteur.

Agree with all three. I had a helluva lot of fun withLotR:WitN and thought it was more than worth the price I paid for it (picked it up on sale).

Alpha Protocol I personally thought was a great game and honestly don't understand why it was panned the way it was.

Although it had some issues, I thought The Saboteur was just a buttload of fun too.

All of these games were easily worth the price I paid and the time I put into them.

The Darkness got a relatively low score for its quality, which I felt was more in the 8.75-9.25 range. It's one of my favorite games to date.

Huh, that's weird, I checked and I couldn't actually find any reviews of Frog Fractions. That game is pretty BA though.

Alpha Protocol

Alpha Protocol is a great game, but has earned its poor reviews.

I think the real problem is that video game reviews are consumer oriented and there's a lack of larger critical backdrop.

I like Alpha Protocol but I admit the gameplay is pretty damn bad. I can forgive it because of the story, C&C and most of all Michael Thorton is such a magnificent bastard. Shame Sega has no interest in a AP2 since Obsidian now has the knowledge and experience making an arpg.

I have to add Omikron. I know the PC version has better reviews but I played it on the Sega Dreamcast. David Bowie plus anything is a great.

Breakdown. I can't say enough good things about this game. Like Mirror's Edge, it was a first person action adventure game.....but unlike FPS's like Call of Duty or the parkour from Mirror's Edge, it blended first-person action adventure with hand-to-hand fighting. You could unleash a plethora of combos with just your fists, or use them in combination with your powers that you would get later on. The story was also pretty well told, with a nifty twist towards the end that you wouldn't see coming. Unfortunately it scored rather low among the critics, but it was such a unique game at the time that it inspired my username on here :)

Every single Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Dynasty Warriors Gundam, and Warriors Orochi game made to date. Sure they are all at its core is the same game every cycle... with only a minor difference here and there. But it's awesome. Except Dynasty Warriors 6... that doesn't exist.

Alpha Protocol ... though game play isn't great, so I play it a little from time to time.

Eh I haven't attended to Gaming Site Reviews recently. BSN users reviews are more interesting to care.

82/100 on Metacritic. If that's not high, people are high.

A couple mentioned on here are great games that deserve more recognition - namely The Saboteur & The Darkness - excellent games.

A few others of note I'd say are.....

Mini Ninjas - awesome, simplistic fun. Great vibe & humour.

The Last Remnant - something a bit different. Flawed, but still fun if you put a bit of effort into it.

Divinity 2: the Dragon Knight Saga - Superb action RPG.

Last Remnant and Divinity 2 are good nominations. Liked the formations based combat systems in TLR, has a lot of potential for turn based RPGs where it's still abstracted to the point where you don't move your characters on the terrain.

Once you get the community patch up and going, Gothic 3 is surprisingly enjoyable as a non-linear sandbox RPG. The Two Worlds games are also not that bad. Majestic was quite fun.

The Cossacks series is criminally underrated.

While i agree with you, but i have to fix something about Gothic 3

Also Alpha Protocol, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Kingpin and most of the strategy/adventure days nowadays.

What about good forgotten games, Like 'Fallout: Tactics' aka 'BOS'?

If we go by "professional" reviewers, then no. Most sites rated it really high, never mentioned any of its flaws or made them seem like very minor issues, and were often creative about its virtues.

On topic:

Alpha Protocol: Stealth + Handgun and gameplay is no problem, really enjoyed the plot, and several choices really made me stop to think.

Binary Domain: combat was fun, and some scenes changing depending on the trust of the squad was a nice idea.

Divinity 2: the IGN reviewer should be checked, he bashed even the music.

Virtually no 'DLCs' are good though. Many good 'expansion packs' have obtained scores of around 85, not 90, admittedly. The other really good DLC, Old World Blues, got around an 85 on Metacritic IIRC.

Go figure one of the few unique and original IP's from EA and its underrated. It almost makes me think the hatred for EA is unwaranted.... almost.
