What is this, Disney? Mass Effect is about the end of galactic civlisation, it's not supposed to have a happy ending. That was obvious to me playing the first game.

Is this a digital version of the rule book RPG? Cause I fricken love that world!
Oh and make a happy ending, or at least one where Shepard doesn't come across as a spineless yes man. I mean, yes, refusal tick's those boxes but at some point in the Reaper war I was expecting a ball's to the wall battle with a Giant Reaper, (cough, HARBINGER, cough). And say what you like about possibilities. The great thing about Shep is that no matter the obstacle, he finds a way! And the way to take down Harbinger should be both hard and epic! And have a killer stroyline taboot!
Seriously, you guy's over at BW have kinda given your fan's that Shepard, 'get out there and get it done' vibe. What other game give's fan's that sense of empowerment they can hopefully take into the real world. Is it really going to end like this?

They did. It's called the Extended Cut.
Oh, you mean that PR-joke that actually made matters WORSE and plugged some glaringly obvious plot holes by adding new ones?
Yeah, right.

But, man, I find these post about "art", "artistic integrity", "it's something you can't comprehend", "space magic" boring and unoriginal...

Well, guys you seem to be truly desperate while you all know that it will not happen. This is the story they wanted to tell us, this is what we got. We either take it or leave it... but I highly doubt that they would make a complete rewrite just for a part of the fans' sake.

...and sadly have a kernal of truth to them.
We were told the Mass Effect trilogy would be shaped by our choices. And like it or not, many fans wanted something along the lines fo a "happy ending" for Shepard. At the very least, one where Shepard survived and is able to rejoin the crew we saved the galaxy with.
Not denying there should also be some "good" endings with a dead Shepard. But Bioware neglected a huge segment of their audience by denying this type of ending to their fans. Again, after assuring them that "your choices matter"

I know! They would make a tremendous profit off of an ending DLC. There are many threads/polls on here that prove that! Not only would they be making a direct profit off the DLC, but a lot of people, myself included, would regain some lost faith in Bioware, and this could increase their sales of future games such as DA3 and "ME4." Some people argue that that takes away from the company's credibility, but honestly, does Bioware even have any credibility left? They really don't have anything to lose.clarkusdarkus wrote...
Isn't they're an assumption that money " talks ".....and in this case of your post OP time will tell if that assumption is correct as they would get more sales with ending dlc than they would just doing another pew pee standalone mission dlc..... It's a no brainer as even those that love everything biowares massive dong shove's down they're throats will gobble up ending dlc....

If you squint your eyes and grit you teeth tight enough, the logic in it is tolerable.

Seems they're doing the opposite of whats wanted as of late, we wanted new squadmates not temp ones, wanted a new hub world and got 1 floor added to the citadel which cant be revisited, we wanted omega to be a hub and got the middle finger, collectors? No, harbinger ? No..... You can put leviathan/omega together and complete it in 5 hours, hence why i havent bought any dlc.... It's standalone mission which dont add nothing other than to shoot more cerbys withe your new weapon pack....... Not to mention the Pre-release rubbish they spout......i see the citadel dlc as being no different, as we are furthering the legend that is shepard........pre-ending not postskate4tacos96 wrote...

I agree with this so much. The moment I first seen Sovereign tearing through the fleet at the end of ME1, I knew there would be no happy endings. And, in my opinion, there shouldn't be one. I didn't want a rehash of Return of the Jedi's ending. An attempted extinction event is not something that the galaxy should be able to walk away from without heavy scars.

God no, who on Earth wants a "happy ending" that would be so totally not what Mass Effect is about. Its about hard choices and making sacrafices for the greater good.
Funny I thought it was about seizing control of our destiny and stopping genocide
