Man. I get really nostalgic sometimes. Over Pokemon, over my old Gameboy, old times, old memories.

And Mass Effect. My favorite gaming series of all time. I remember when I first got really into Mass Effect (I had played the first one three times before that but never got into it). The Citadel Presidium theme, exploring an Uncharted Planet with the Mako, the Uncharted Worlds soundtrack from the galaxy map.

Oh, Mass Effect :'(

Anyway, *wipes tears*, how do you feel about your first Mass Effect experience?

My first Mass Effect experience started with ME2 on the PS3 in 2011, and then onto ME3 in 2012. But when ME1 was released on the PS3 in December I could finally go back and see Shepard's story from the beginning. It kind of felt like a prequel for the first couple of hours since I had played the series out of order, but it was great getting to explore the Citadel for the first time, and meet characters like Tali, Garrus, Wrex, Ashley, Kaidan and Liara for the first time.

It might have been a 5 year old game by the time I got to play it, but it's still one of the best games I've ever played and probably something that I'll never forget. I'm reading through the books right now (on Retribution so far) and I'm wondering where the Mass Effect series will go in the future...I still have ME3's DLC to go through until then though.

There's so much more I could say but I'd probably hit a character limit somewhere. :)

Seriously. I borrowed ME1 from a friend and played for 2 hours or so and never touched it again till I got really bored one day.

I started playing ME2 one day, because that's totally my genre.

And then I saw Miranda and went, "!!!! That's Yvonne Strahovski!" I was on a Chuck binge at the time :/

The world was freaking beautiful and the story was amazing. The not-by-default femShep was a brilliant protagonist. I definitely got hooked right away.

Plus I got to shoot things with a sniper rifle again. :D That's always a plus in my book.

Knock-my-socks off moments:

* The whole team sitting around debriefing after a mission in ME1
* Finding teammates in random parts of the ship having conversations without me in ME3
* Morton Solus singing Gilbert and Sullivan. *cough*
* Urdnot Wrex's moment of truth.
* Legion: "There was a hole".
* Jack: "You ****er!"
* Aria. I want to have her baby.
* Realizing the elevators in the Citadel play muzak.
* Sniper rifles!
