There should be an option to pay $300 to buy the entire manifest.

300?

try like 15K

Buying regular packs should be for people who want some quick unlocks. Obviously, buying the whole manifest in bulk should be much cheaper than buying all the packs individually.

Maybe, but not by that wide of a margin. Economics is not for you, friendo.

'Buying' a whole game would ultimately be shallow and meaningless.

There are plenty of games where you don't need to unlock things.

I don't need to play 100 hours before Half-Life lets me use the Crossbow, and I consider that to be the best game ever made.

It is.

No, if you want to pay to win there are a heap of Facebook and casual games out there.

Why would EA do that when they can get you to pay 300$ and not max your manifest, requiring you to spend more?

I'm still curious about nobody mentioning my BF3 comparison. It takes a damn long time to unlock all the weapons and attachments in Battlefield games, and you can "buy" those.

Instead of putting time into the game and playing it way it was designed to be played. You just want pull out your credit card even the odds! I think that's BS. What ever happened to earning your way to the top, instead of buying it.

How does the store having packs available for purchase have ANYTHING to do with integrity when we're talking about a capitalistic system? SERIOUSLY? GTFO.

That's for the cancerous casual ADHD riddled crowd too. They only play to unlock and then quit when the next "big" game is out, so they want to get everything in the shortest amount of time possible.

Then 3 months later you can't find anyone on a sever to play with. they all have moved on. In keeping the manifest the way it is now Bioware retains the player base that it was intended to support. You want more stuff then play the game! Not "Show me the money" and you can have everything for doing nothing.

$300 not worth it. just play the game. it was a good idea for bioware to make new packs for weapon and kit unlocks. maybe you can spend some money to get a jump at your manifest but $300 that's too much. it took me around 600 hours to complete manifest playing gold then platinum when it came out.

I would say this is a reasonable idea to consider. It's not really "pay to win" because, as everyone knows, maxing out your manifest does not give you the skill or experience that is usually needed to be able to survive or (or place at the top of the scoreboards for) Gold or Platinum matches, much less Silver or even Bronze.

Will it help? Quite a bit. But it's paying to avoid what many players see as the hassle of the RNG store, not paying to win games.

However, I would suggest a slight modification to what Bioware might offer. I would suggest a $100 or 8000 MSP/BWP pack that includes one of each card. I would call it a "Manifest Destiny" pack because I love terribly cheesy names.
This would provide a way to significantly shortcut the frustrations of the RNG store while avoiding the pitfall of having a single purchase max out the manifest and remove all incentives the game itself offers for continuing to play... or at least increase the profit of allowing a player to do so by a significant amount ($1,000 or 80000 MSP/BWP to go from nothing to max is nothing to sneeze at. Consider how that compares to the income from a single player buying ME Trilogy and all DLC.)

Personally, I would not buy such a pack with real money regardless of the cost, just as I have no intention of ever spending MSP on existing item packs, but as long as I can buy with Credits what others can buy with cash, I have no problem with others doing so.

On a related note, if it is done as a Pack and not a DLC, it would probably have to be buyable with Credits as well. How many Credits do you think such a thing should cost?

No. I would not pay. I don't even BUY regular packs. Sure, I buy SP weapon DLCs, because they are not baked in. MP weapons are there, they just need unlocking. $10 is the most I would pay, and that's starting with a Zero manifest. 10 cents comes off for every item I get.

I have other comments, but am too lazy to type them.
I stand at no.

lol If there are people actually willing to fork over $300 for a full manifest, they deserve it.

OP is this how you approach life. You arent somebody that tries to buy everything are you.
You call yourself a good player which I found extremely funny. If that holds true wouldn't you want to work through the game as everyone else has. I just don't see the motivation to play then other than stroking your ego.

And I have spent in addition to the £45 for the pre-ordered Collector's Edition an additonal £24 on BW points 3200 giving you 13 PSPs, Arsenal or Reserve packs. Out of these I got the Black Widow, Particle Rifle, Scorpion.  Did get some other Rare stuff chars cant remember now which.  Only one not unlocked after 370 hours and 1200 matches is the Paladin.

On that basis I think they would charge more for the manifest due to the RNG nature of Store and what they would potentially lose.

The last thing we need is new players buying the whole manifest and thinking that makes them good enough for Gold/Platinum. Though I imagine it would be nice for players who use multiple consoles.

Agreed. The closer a game gets to F2P the less I like it.

For multi-platform guys I've always thought an option to link multiple accounts should be added, one manifest for them all.

300 a month sounds like a reasonable price for EA.

Lol no. Not going to happen.

But even if it did, 300 bucks wouldn't cover it. And anything even approaching that price range wouldn't make it on the Marketplace.

People who complain about "pay to win" are so funny in how pathetic their views are. Dud you know that IRL people with money really do have an advantage? Does that make you sad? Better get used to it, consumers willing to pay always have more if a say.
