You can also get oghren to teach you to be a berserker.

I believe that it only becomes available after the landsmeet is called. Don't quote me on that, I'm not positive, but I think I read that somewhere.

Ok, I haven't completed any of the quests fully so I guess I need to simply buckle down, how much do you have to make Oghren like you to get it from him?

gorim only has the berserker handbook if you haven't already unlocked berserker (during any playthrough).



this way I accidently unlocked berserker for free. I bought the book from him and shortly after made a mistake and had to reload from a previous save. when I got back to buy the book again it was gone. first I was confused and thought it was a bug. then I realized that bererker was already unlocked.

...Gorim's / Varathorn's / Wade's inventory is refreshed after you complete 'the nature of the beast' having also completed another plot arc...eg. you see the vision with the arch-daemon and get ambushed at camp!



...anyways, you can learn berserker from Ogrehn so tome is superfluous!

But you also need to complete A Paragon of Her Kind to be able to talk to Oghren in camp. Otherwise he just tells you to leave him alone. As this is the last quest most people do, it is unfeasible if one wants Berserker for their first specialisation. Of course you could do it first.



If you save up all the booze in the game you can get Oghren to +70 approval the moment he joins.
