After I installed the game, I played it for about 10 minutes before the game froze. It froze my entire computer so that I couldn't exit back to my desktop or anything. All I could do was turn off power to my computer completely and restart it.
Upon restarting my computer, windows failed to load. It then had to enter a mode where it searched for bad software, and apparently it removed part of my Dragon Age software because when I finally got back to windows, the launcher was gone.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software multiple times, always with the same issue.
My computer is more than equipped to handle this game. I am using Windows Vista (service pack 1) on a 32-bit operating system. I have an AMD athlon 64 X2 dual core 3.0 GHz processor, and I have 3 GB of RAM. My video card is a GeForce 8600 GT, and the driver version is 8.16, which I just updated today. I read that my video card driver could be the problem, so I updated it and it gave me version 8.16, but I still have the same problem. That's the version as of 9/27/09.
Can anyone help me? This game looks amazing, and I just want to play it and actually get something out of my $50
