this was the plot of the game
The player assumes the role of Xavier Fox, a pirate captain who has
awakened in a prison with no memory of his past. He finds himself in a
world that is home to six closely situated, yet wildly unique islands,
each populated with its own race. Each of the races, such as turtles,
penguins, foxes, rabbits, bears, weasels, and others, have their own
agenda and react in their own unique ways to Xavier Fox. Throughout his
adventures, Fox must work with his allies, identify his foes, and
uncover secrets from his own past.
