See topic.

Anderson of all people was not wearing any body armor during the final assault on the Citadel. Shepard shouldn't have been able to kill him with one shot except to the head. Just weird.

Bad writing, stupidity, or the subject that shall not be named?

Why wasn't Garrus wearing a Batman suit in ME2?

It also appears that Anderson's armour or whatever was in perfect condition in Citadel. Armour or not, why his kinetic barrier wasn't working?

I guess it's probably just that BW just didn't had enough time to create another skin for Anderson, tattered and damaged armour/outfit which would explain why his kinetic barrier wasn't working.

ZLurps, no-one has barriers in cutscenes. What do you think this is? Some kind of shoot-em-up game?

As to the OP, I'll pick your first answer.

cutscene bullets! They're exactly as powerful as the plot demands that they be!

And why wasn't the kinetic barrier in TIM's suit working? Plot. Convenience.

They could have had Shepard shoot TIM in the head at least and have that be the end of that. TIM's last line was useless. It wouldn't have looked as much like a contrivance.

But Anderson? He's a soldier. He looked in good shape, he just sounded a little out of breath before TIM got there.

Just a minor correction, but flak jackets generally won't protect you from being shot.

Flak jackets protect against shrapnel from high explosive rounds, which travels at a lower velocity generally than rounds fired from a gun.

Anderson does appear to be wearing some form of flak vest in his final scene, but wasn't wearing full body armor. (like Shepard) Maybe he just prefered the increased mobility of not being weighed down by all that gear.

Yep, my bad really. There is this TPS ME game and then there is this alternate universe ME that happens in cut scenes. Now I think of it, they really pressed it hard to me, but then I didn't wanted to remember. Damn, this **** always gets me.

That last line was the only part of that conversation I liked. It seemed like the only part of his human-centric ramblings that I believed. The rest felt a lot like "yeah-eah" "nuh-uhh" until someone gets shot.

He didn't wear any body armor on the run down to the beam, yet somehow managed to be unscathed , and all the other troops with body armor died.

Unless a part of the IT theory , it is another case of sloppy writing.

The same reason saren can kill nihlus in a single shot, despite wearing full armor and having what appeared to be full sheilds.

He didn't run through the kill zone with everyone else; I suspect he went along the left on the other side of the debris while everyone else kept Harbinger distracted.

Kinetic barriers were zapped after Harby I would assume kinda like Sheps's were bascially depleated as well. Admirals don't typically fight on the front line probably why he doesn't get armor.

Whatever the equivalent of a 22nd century bullet proof vest is I'm assuming.
