Will DA3 be entirely non-polygamous like other titles? (With regards to both player-companion romances and NPC relationships)

While fairly equal and open-minded when it comes to homosexual and heterosexual relationships, a shadow of narrowmindedness still lingers in the ignoring of polygamous relationships throughout every major title.

They already have included brief moments where a "three-some" or a "four-some" can happen in a sexual encounter, but why reject the possibility of three partners, or maybe even more, in a polygamous relationship with one another?

Even if DA3 doesn't have polygamous possibilities for the player character, what are your thoughts on this subject? I personally would like the option to share in a 3-way romance with two other characters although I can see how dialogue-wise it would be much more complex than the standard monogamous romances (It is one thing to get say Morrigan, Leliana, Alistair, or Zhevran to romance the player character, but it's an entirely different level of complexity to not only get say Morrigan or Leliana to romance your character, but also to fall in love with each other at the same time in an openly polygamous relationship that the three of you share).

Should polygamous relationships be a complex option in DA3 and other games or is there a reason romances ought to be kept purely monogamous?

At the very least, it seems like the prior difficulties would not exist in creating a polygamous relationship amongst NPCs, even if the complexities of such a feat renders it difficult to apply to player-companion romances.

Mostly because it's incredibly complex to have it exist in conjunction with single romances (for the same characters). If there were romances that you could only exist as a group, that might be easier, but I have my doubts we'd ever do that.

I thought DG answered this and said no quite a while ago about never adding this feature because he didnt want a collect them all situation like in the first witcher or something and believing it cheapens your LI?

If you're referring to my blog post, that's something different.

My answer was earlier in this thread, and it's a flat-out no. The rest of the discussion is really something that should go elsewhere, and has no relation to DA3.
