I'm not picking out any paticular games, but on a whole I have played various games that had certain elements that drew me in and impressed the hell out of me, and after a few game releases later I notice that the games; uniqueness has worn off or dropped and made and replaced with something different. I know companies and publishers want to draw in more consumers, call it "taking it in a different direction" which means certain elements are abandoned in favor of elements more common to popular games.

I hate to see games I love to play become "easily accessible" which can mean the game's frame gets changed and that can obviously upset a few people. Every gamer has a right to enjoy a game regardless of genre, it's just a lot of games seem to follow a certain pattern and end up becoming very similar, and no longer unique. I understand  companies are experimenting on top-of-the-line games which is a hell of a gamble which has more risk than win, losing fanbaseand such.

Because they're made by businesses. And every business wants money. That's just the way it is.

And no, you don't have a "right" to anything. That mindset is horrible.

Surely you must have rights or do you have none?

Rights to speak out ones mind, give feedback and think are horrible? Or is thinking about right and wrong horrible?

Either way, you're pretty horrible.

Let me clarify, with regard to gaming you don't have rights.

Do you even know what a "right" is? It's some thing that people are "not allowed" to stop you from doing.

A right to speak one's mind? Not necessarily. Depends on the situation. You go into boot camp and start talking in the middle of a, instructer's exercise. You'll find very quickly you don't have a "right" to it.

Give feedback? No. If they ask you, sure. But who are you to correct someone?

Thinking has nothing to do with a "right." It's not something people can prevent you from doing.

Why thank you, I appreciate it.

As to the rights debate. I find this simplfies it.

You have the right to do what ever you want, say what you want. But other people have the right to return the favor.

lulz.

Anyways to answer that. Simple.

okane, okane, okane (money)

This, but the only thing we have a "right" to do is, is criticize/praise when necessary.

Because publishers and AAA devs only want to go the easy way and pander to the lowest common denominator by making lowest common denominator-design.

Ahh the ole rights debate.

You have a right to voice your opinion. You have the right to sell products back. You have the right to sabotage the reputation of a producer and/or product as long as you do not break any law.

You do not have the right to a good product for your hard earned money, because enforcing that right would be a nightmare, especially with entertainment products. I don't like it at all, but that is just how thongs work. Believe me, I would love to have the ability to get my money back for every ****ty video game I have bought, especially when it is such half-assed garbage that you can almost see where they cut corners, like DA2. But that isn't going to happen because enforcing a law where one is  able to get their money back for a product based on a subjective opinion is legal hell.

Now what you can do is not buy games at release and wait and see if they are going to be what you like, help crowd source games that you want to be made from developers you trust, or simply go to GOG and get tons of classic goodness for cheap.

Teenagers and Kids playing mature games.
