Seival, don't try to sugarcoat it. You'd indoctrinate everyone if you the chance.

The Catalyst can indoctrinate, but that doesn't mean it always does that. It can just convince people with its words and actions, with good examples.

...As for indoctrination itself - this ability can be used for good purposes. It can be used to inspire people instead of dominating them.

if this doesn't fit "absolute power corrupts absolutely," then I don't know what does.

you really need to stop.

It fits "absolute power comes with absolute responsibility". My glass is half-full, while yours is definitely half-empty.

Seival, what would happen if a war were to break out in your control universe, and you couldn't finitely decide which side was "right"?

You do realize that indoctrination means brainwashing individuals right? It can't be used to "inspire" people since Reaper indoctrination involuntarily causes people to accept a certain viewpoint. If those under the influence of the Reapers had their own mental freedom, then it could be considered inspiring.

It fits "absolute power comes with absolute responsibility".

That's the point.

This absolute power and responsibility also comes with no accountability. The only thing keeping the Shepalyst in check is itself, and that's a road that doesn't likely lead to anywhere good.

My glass is half-full, while yours is definitely half-empty.

I guess that's also part of the point.

"inspire" them to stop, by indoctrinating both sides.

"If" it will happen? You mean, "when" it will happen, I believe.

When it will happen, the war will be stopped as fast as it was started. For some noticable amount of time noone will keep fighting after a voiced promise to restart the Cycles if conflict will not be stopped immediately...

...Synthesis will be applied soon enough (relatively "soon enough" of course) after Control, so organics-vs-synthetics problem will not be able to rise to the full strength again.

Because being the same has always stopped wars from occurring. Thats why there have never been wars between humans in the past.

When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
So she ran away in her sleep

She was terror- terror- terrorized,
terror- terror- terrorized,
terror- terror- terrorized
By the Reaper's lazers she died.

The song is called Seival's Paradise. It's on iTunes (not really).

Yes, I liken it to the one ring from Lord of the Rings, and specifically, this quote from Gandalf:

"I would use this ring from a desire to do good... But through me, it would wield a power too great and terrible to imagine. "

Ah yes, the "organics-vs-synthetics" BS. I have dismissed that BS

F*ck.

Until the non-synthesized people make synthetics.

At least that's what will happen according to the old Catalyst. Not that anyone should pay attention to that moron.

Thankyou for ruining that song for me. Now all I'll think about when listening to it are synthesis ghettos and Normandy test jumps.

Because the only thing that determines a war is someone's race and species, not their ideologies, thoughts, and beliefs, right? Those things have never caused war! And even if, I'm sure that forcing everyone to become half-synthetic would somehow manage to conform every single person to one doctrine so that they can't fight!

Hmm... come to think of it, that kinda sounds like dictatorship.

I have dismissed Seival's BS. A long time ago. Still doesn't make it any less funny, though.
