Given my track record with Bioware games....
I managed to mess up Revan's thing with Carth, and while she was light side, there were a couple more bodies than there should have been laying around the galaxy.... Kotor2 I pretty much rode right off the crazy train (Yeah, not bioware and working as intended). Jade Empire, ok, yeah, I got bunnies.
In Dragon Age 1 I wound up with a dead dwarf warden because Morrigan was talking crazy. In Dragon Age 2, Izzy ditched me and I wound up siding with the Templars because.... well. THINK OF THEM POOR KIRKWALL CIVILIANS. And I killed Anders because it seemed like the only way I could make any peace. In Awakening, I lost Sigrun because of poor planning and Anders was the only one who really liked my poor Orlesian (whoops).
You can't REALLY mess up Mass Effect 1's ending. I accidentally got Zaheed, Mordin and Thane (Shep's LI, even, my face was great) in the ending of ME2.
And in ME3, I wound up with a dead Shep because blue made sense.
I have GOT to start reading spoilers or something before I play these things.
Honestly, though? I think they're more interesting bittersweet (and with options on the bitter/sweet spectrum!) I'd probably gag on bunnies if you got pure sap after the mountain of blood you tend to wade through in a game.
Besides, I can't wait to see how badly I'll mess up Thedas and my favorite characters THIS time.
Would you like an Ending that was Sunshine and Lollipops?

- I want a text ending, like DA:O, and in it you had better mention the person I romanced, and any other character I spent a more than five minutes with.
- I want to be a hero
- If there is a last minute character introduction, DO NOT make that character story-critical
Agreed with all your points, especially with the bolded. I just hope DA3 doesn't take the path of ME3's original ending. I expect sacrifice and bittersweet, but some choice should be involved to allow for different degrees of happiness/ sadness. DA: O achieved this and had a larger threat than DA2 or DA3, so it's entirely possible.

Some of the people above have the right idea. The ending should just be the ending, Bioware should not be aiming for a good ending nor should they be aiming for a bad ending. Rather an ending that is reasonable/realistic based on the story itself and the choices the player has made.
