And pretty much just more of everything when it comes to features, locations, abilities, enemies (In terms of variations in a bestiary), customization options, dialogue options, choices, and yeah.
+ Who doesn't love attention to detail? Bow Strings and Scabbards would be nice

It's better than having to mod it in.
Also, removable weapons beyond cutscenes at home (i.e. the Hawke Estate).

We know that Skyrim outsold da2 by a wide margin why didnt the amazing branching storyline of DA2 beat the stark linear story of Skyrim?
Wait you mean an exploration, housing and crafting focus beats out a really good story?

But food. That's what DA is missing. I love food in RPGs, more than anything.

Popularity does not indicate quality. Skyrim's success could be for any number of reasons, not the least of which would be that it had a much more aggressive media campagin.Celene II wrote...

Depends what you are asking, are you asking for superior games with branching storylines or games that do the branching storyline better than the Dragon Age series? The answer to both questions is the Witcher 2 by a clean lightyear.
While the Witcher series is good (saying it's 'better' is pure subjectivity, so best avoid that really), there exists in it only two real 'branches' to the storyline, that being where you choose between Iorveth or Roche at the end of chapter 1, and helping the aforementioned person of choice or not, at the end of chapter 3. And the first choice in chapter 1 is possibly the only importent one, as it decides where you end up in chapter 2.
Between these two points, the story plays out in a quite linear fashion, with little or no choices between them.
So yeah, it's a different system, mainly because it's one big choice that can put you onto two different, but very linear paths, but it's certainly not the best 'by a lightyear'.
Perhaps you should actually play the Witcher 2, unless of course you are trying to claim that Dragon Age 2 wasnt a branching storyline at all and that Origins only had 6 short branches at the beginning that all branched into a long singular linear storyline. I do however admire your guts however in trying to present the argument in a civil manner in an effort to make it look like you knew what you were talking about but unfortunately for you my dear wikipedia doesnt exactly impart all the knowledge one gains of a game by actually playing it.

I believe Skyrim already has that covered

Right, so because someone disagrees with you and has valid criticism of a game you like, that automatically means they must not have played it? Come off it, stop the bollocks. I had someone accuse me of never having played the original Witcher when I explained at length about how and why I didn't like it, and I still happily stand by that assessment.Gandalf-the-Fabulous wrote...

As for what DA is missing... I can think of a few things:
1) A decent sized monster roster
2) A good variety of items and distinction between them
3) Great music
because I got a fever, and the only cure
IS MORE COWBELL

lol
They've probably figured by now that people are going to mod it in anyway.
