Only if that score includes a victory. Losing just means you outscored other losers.

Score cannot tell you the whole picture. Only playing the game with other players can tell you about their skill.

I remember when we used to talk about all the girls we nailed when I was younger. Id be embarrassed even mentioning how great I was at a video game let alone posting a video or screenshot of my accomplishments. Instead I get to read about them and chuckle.
Hehe, one of the post with most sense around here, I'd say.
For that same reason, we are all embarasses of mentioning how many girls we nailed, here on bsn
Don't be silly. Girl BSNers are a myth.

1. Ping
2. Time spent in ME
3. Time spent using a certain kit.
Even the best can score low and fail on a kit they're not comfortable with.
So can #2 and #3 still make you suck on a horrible #1.

Yes, I have said it. Its about time people just accept that score is the most important factor in determining player skill.
The biggest argument anyone can ever provide as to why score is "meaningless" is because "this game is a co-op"
Let me tell you right now. Its not.
I have never, ever, seen PUGs or friends attempt to make this "co-op" based game actually cooperative.
Here are the "co-op" tactics people use (in no particular order):
1) Camp
- FBWGG, and RioReapersPlatinum. This is about as cooperative as it gets, and its a complete load of pathetic mediocrity. Its neither effective or efficient. Its just a bunch of scared players huddling together in a corner praying that nobody will get stabbed....
But oh, will they get stabbed.
2) "Staying close"
Is this a real tactical strategy? No. Its a "strategy" with a very basic concept: "if we stick together, we have a better chance of living." Doesn't mean **** when a bunch of enemies splits your team up. Then you are just forced to find somewhere else to "stick together." Pretty much, its a "better version" of camping.
AND.....
3) Synchronizing Powers.
This is hilarious. Most of the time when people do this, they pick one or two powers that sync up well, and just spam the crap out of it (ex. Overload and Snap Freeze). This is just silly, as it hardly translates to a strategy outside of "dewd, keep hittin em wit dat snap freeze." This tactic is even better than 1 & 2, because it combines both elements together, but still lacks efficieny the higher the difficulty goes.
And don't get me started on biotics. Most people will just spam their Biotics, and then someone will get greedy and start only using Detonating powers because they want points. Then, all you get is a bunch of Throws hitting an armored atlas... this is hilarious.
The most cooperative gameplay I have seen is strategies used by speedrunners. Its coordinated with each player playing a specific role, standing in a specific spot, moving toward specific areas, and using specific equipment on specific waves. Not only that, but if something "jolts" the strategy, there are back up strategies to compensate. This is Co-Op. Not some BS vague idea of ?working together" until some moron gets greedy
Get it together people. If you want to determine whether or not you are decent at the game, watch the score. If you regularly score 60-90k more than the PUGs in your Gold games... you are probably alright. If you are getting outscored each and every game by that same amount, you are probably not that great.
tl;dr
Face scores with the truth: You are your score
Not to be rude, but you sound silly. Maybe upset that you can't always have the top score. or maybe to brag that you DO always have top score. Any case, skill is not based on score. At least not by itself. sometimes I purposely hang back just as a support player setting up kills for squad mates. . Most likely, continuous high scores just means you're an aggressive player and score is all you care about. ppl have different play styles. They might suck. But score has little to do wit it.

That's complete bunk, I was in a Platinum match last night where this guy scored over 200k, but in trying to get that 200k he went down 13 times and didn't help with a single mission. I only scored 120k, but I only went down once and helped with every mission. I don't care what the score says, I was definitely the better player in that match.

Lol. I would need to see video proof of this happening. If true, BotB banner needs to be revoked.

Lol, how funny... I would need a video proof to even start to think that a harrier TGI with the BOTB banner can outscore Feneckus with a volus. Or beat him to an objective, for what it matters. Not sure what is harder when you play with him...
