Hi,
1st thing: apologies if this has been asked a hundred times before.
My Goal: run a NWN2 server with NWNX on a professional dedicated server with some really decent connectivity and speed.
Port wise, all the ports are open, but I'm still unable to connect using direct connect. The server just seems to be timing out w/out error. I know the server is listening on port 5121, but no joy.
Any suggestions or ideas on what I'm missing?
TIA,
Peri.

Firewall maybe?
Did you try just running the nwnx4 demo locally on your home computer?
You would launch it using nwnx4 and then direct connect to your ip address from your home computer.
It might be good to start with a simple baseline.

I had tried all that last year, and it seemed to work great @home and on the remote server. Now they're telling me the ports are open, but I still can't see the server.
the server's at worldofcaudor.com .. can someone who can already hit an outside server set the bar and let me know if they can see the server (even if the password's wrong it should kick something back instead of 'connection timeout' right?
(again, TIA for any help.)

I'm double-firewalled and I'm wondering if there isn't a misconfiguration there. Inside the network on server 2, it worked great. now I'm trying to run outside the firewall w/ no joy.
