Adjutants to Cerberus? Cerberus has 8 units already. Why not add some units to other factions? [cough] Reapers, Collectors [cough]

I think we will see a new unit added to Reapers given all the buffs that enemy has received since the last DLC dropped.

Does Cerberus really need a new unit? Already, they're the most diverse faction in that regard. Why would they need the Adjutants?

Nissun wrote...

Does it make any, ANY sense at all for the Alliance to say "Hey! We need to mass-produce some kind of synthetic to aid in this war! We need them to be efficient in the war against the Reapers, since our resources will grow slimmer and slimmer with time! I KNOW! Let's build a million of these sexbots!"

If bioware includes EDI-like robots, I'm out (...) a posible slightly logical explanation. Sexbots in the frontlines don't.

Er, I don't know, infiltrating Cerberus maybe? Why does it make sense for any given unit to be practical for Cerberus in its war with the Alliance but not for the Alliance in its war with Cerberus?

Oh yeah! Let's mass produce this female sexbot that the enemy designed, and let's use them to fool them into... thinking they are humans? So that they can... uh, gun them down, just like every other playable multiplayer character does?

Cerberus made one robot, to infiltrate one scientific facility of Mars. If you can't see any difference between that, and the way the Alliance is fighting Cerberus, you are blind.

First, I never said all units would have to look exactly like EDI. I took "EDI-like" to mean humanoid, just that. And that doesn't even mean the MP unit can't be modeled after EDI -- just like I don't for a second believe all Turians in the galaxy or on the battlefield look like the Turians on MP.

Second, just because the "Dr. Coré" had a very specific mission and purpose doesn't mean robots like her (who, mind you, displayed quite reasonable fighting skills right before being killed) can't be used anywhere else. I don't know how you think that's even a sliver of a compelling argument.

Third, I'm not saying, "Bioware, do it." I'm saying, if they did it, it wouldn't be as glaringly incoherent as you make it out to be.

We seem to be on the same page with some of this. See my post here
Being realistic I don't see Bioware being able to invest in massive amounts of new models, animations etc so they need to make inventive use of what they have.

Love the idea of Dominate in MP! (Should be combined with Sabotage).

Dying for Turian Female characters (so long as they get some new powers as well).

I designed a character with Dominate and Sabotage + had your female Turian:

I wouldn't be upset to see the rampart mechs added to Cerberus, for the record.

I think they will add Adjuntants to Reapers, cause is the only main faction that didn't have a new unit since the beginning.
Anyway, Adjuntants are more related to Cerberus, the ones that received the very nervous Dragoon before, so... I don't know.

But I'm sure all Turians in the Galaxy wear armor similar to that. My point is that there is not just one Turian in the galaxy, while there is for all we know one EDI body walking around. Cerberus probably has more in stock, but not that many. How many times can you pull off the same infiltration tactic before the Alliance catches up?

That's not the point. The point is that a more functional looking robot, like the LOKI or the Rampart, make one Billion times more sense than the Eva Core body. They were clearly built with frontline combat in mind first and foremost. EDI was designed with "****** and ass" in mind, first and foremost.

To pretend that a robot model with enormous breasts and sculpted genitals is superior to a functional, battle oriented and easily replaced robot, is like someone defending chainmail bikini outfits in a fantasy rpg. Nobody is buying it.

It's coming! They re-configured the servers recently. I suspect it may take a week.

Agreed. Same for asari (as much as I love 'em) or quarians.

Can the salarians please get some much-needed love?

I really hope that Bioware can give us new models for existing races and brand new powers, because while I understand there is a lot of work involved in creating new assets, reusing the same models and powers for a good portion of the Retaliation DLC was kind of a bummer.

A playable Geth Hopper class (new model/animations/powers) would be my ideal DLC character, but a playable Rampart Mech class (with at least new powers) would be cool too.

As a side note, I know this is something that Bioware said would be very hard to do, but I would love the ability to customize the color of your tech armor, drone, omi-tool, ect.

Agree with the first paragraph and a playable Hopper sounds awesome. Would rather have a Geth Sentinel kit analogous to the Prime, though. From Rampart Mechs onward, you kinda lost me.

The Rampart Mechs part was going along with the fact that making assets from scratch is time consuming. While I would love a Geth Hopper, I'm not sure the Bioware MP team could work that in. So seeing as how we already have the Rampart Mech in the game, I would be fine having that as a new kit if only because I really don't want to see another reused Geth model/powers, and from a lore perspective you would think military VI controlled mechs on the front lines would be something worthwhile in avoiding casualties, especially since these things can be massed produced.

And my side note was about being able to alter the color of one's tech powers into something other then the standard yellow.

That analogy is ridiculous, even if the point is a decent one. Fantasy RPGs tend to have magic - magic can justify anything. Example: Female character X is a paladin. The god she worships is a pervert who likes ogling people - and gives the paladin defensive upgrades for wearing chainmail bikinis that outweigh the defensive bonuses of actual, practical armour. Bam, done. This also applies to guys wearing Speedo armour. Plus, grounds for interesting characterisation. But that's off-topic.

It comes down to cost, though. A fembot like that would be no worse in a fight than a standard mech - just more expensive. And distracting for all the asari operatives. EDI does also have a heavy armour character model that could be used, though.

As well as that - I personally like the idea of Dominate being Shepard-only. S/he's the only one who could outwill the Leviathans, and the only one the Reapers fear. As for everything else? Biower plz balance/provide adequate reasoning that doesn't wreck Javik.

Not yet confirmed (or not) by Bioware, but they always said that there will be more DLC MP content if the community support it (and it is).

Appart from that, OTS revaled days ago that this DLC exists and will be named Reckoning. OTS predicted previous DLC in the past.

Just though I would point out the "proof" picture you posted is the internal name for what you know as the Chakram launcher.

Since we have to prototype stuff out long before names are official, you will notice names don't always correspond properly, ie the paladin is called the ivory.

Thanks for clarification, Bryan!

Doesn't seem this tuesday we will get the new DLC.
Maybe 5th, as suggested in another post?

Too many rumours and zero substance. Most guns save the bloodpack Amy and pistol should be majorly needed. In fact I even go as far as to suggest bioware stop being lazy and introduce exclusive mplayer only weapons. Seriously when are they gonna retain a sense of uniqueness with splayed and do. Never bfre released weapons for mplayer only as seperate from splayer?

This is from Sam Hulick's twitter page.

If the new DLC will have OST (confirmed, see above), does that mean no MP DLC?

This is related to the SP DLC, I think is called "The Cytadel".
MP DLC was unofficially confirmed by OTS.
