Yeah OK I've searched the google pages over a lot and I can't seem to scrounge up anything helpful. I've gotten Flycam going in ME2 and 3 and I'm liking it a lot  - but I'm starting to think there ISN'T a successful way to enable flycam for ME1.

Is there?

ED: sorry if this is in the wrong subsection, btw

PC console commands are what you need, and you can assign a key for specifically for the flycam toggle if you want (it's one of the examples given). The wiki covers everything you need to know:

Looks like I gotta get a number pad then... doesn't seem to work when I reassign the key controls

No, you do not. ME1 has a console; in contrast, ME2 and ME3 requires you to mess around with silly c.ini/c.bin key binds because they just had to remove it.
It works just like the console in Bethesda games, or Source games or your computer for that matter. Open the console, enter the command, press enter.
