Hello slayer buff! And Derek, where's Eric?

Mr. Fagnan and his wife are currently enjoying their brand new baby girl.  We, of course, wish them well.

Cheers

Nice job on the Slayer Phase Disruptor buffs.  They were sorely needed on the higher difficulties.  Many thanks.

On a side note, is Phase Disruptor ever going to get its own challenge category?

Edit: Big congrats to Eric, wife, and the little one. :o

So how many phase disrupts is that from full shields?

Should be 5 if evolved fully.  40% base drain per blast, with a 50% reduce drain evolution, would result in a 20% drain per blast.

And we wish him well too! :)

May I ask, Derek: is the damage from each PD staying the same or is it being reduced proportionally?

Damage for PD remains unaffected.

Thank you so much

Hooray, the Slayer looks even more awesome!  Now can the stupid RNG store actually freaking give one to me already so I can try it out?

I find the additional punctuation in the 'balance of changes' refreshing, crisp, and with a hint of lime and pomegranate. The lack of an empty line after the heading leaves one with a feeling of je ne sais quoi; it is both different and somewhat disturbing (and quite possibly OP).

As for the substance of the changes: it brings a manly tear to this reviewer's eye. More so the ****ing and moaning, or epic appreciation for said changes that has sadly been so miserably absent from these fora for too long. I therefore give the changes a score of 9/10 -- would definitely bang!

Phase Disruptor was an excellent albeit underrated power before this change, but it's just unfortunate how much its affected by lag (same with charge). I'd guess that letting us fire more blasts is a sort of compensation for that.

Is this a joke? Nearly a month since the last balance changes and they barely do anything?

Hey Bioware, most of the AR's are still garbage in case you hadn't noticed...

Allow me to clarify:

Nerf too much - people cry. Buff too little - people cry. Minor buff or nerf - booooooring.

I think BSN is ready for the Chakram launcher/BP Punisher/BP Executioner/Venom Shotgun/Adas Rifle. Even just adding 1 of those would have had an unprecidented positive effect. Chakram Launcher would have been most likely since it has been in the game since launch. It unlocked in the SP for anyone who played through the Kingdoms of Amalur Demo.

Wow huge slayer buff. I smell a lot of "talk to the hand" comments coming this weekend.

And the guardian point increase comes right after I finish my Cerberus mastery :/ oh well better than nothing.

I have no doubt that the Fagnan child will be the most balanced individual in human history.

OH yes but my actual comment:

=8-O !!!! PD Buff!!!! Now you'd be able to obliterate a whole map in moments!!

Sorry, lost my cool there for a moment, um, I meant to say the Slayer is off course still unusable and will ... have to be buffed significantly more before it would becomes a realistically viable platform. Now please excuse me, I'd like to get home as soon as possible to go and, um, 'test', these new changes.

Granted, it's still very network dependant so you will have to be hosting :-)
