I want to tweak all the npcs on Baldur's gate 2, but I wish to do it by making it consistent with the lore.

For example,

making Anomen a berserker\\cleric (I won't use his berserker abilitiy until he fails his test)

Do you have other good suggestion on how to change npcs so I can make a good synergy between my party?

Thanks for help

I really doubt you'd be able to mod all of them without breaking lore or otherwise being contrived about it (and if the changes are as simple as proficiency changes there isn't really much to say about it). Some of them just fit too well as they are. Imoen, for example, doesn't fit into any of the thief kits. Anyway:

Minsc: I get the impression he was made a ranger so he could have gnolls as a racial enemy to fit in with Dynaheir. In BG2 that's now irrelevant (and his favored enemy switches to vampires for pure power gaming reasons afaik), so he'd make a good candidate for berserker or barbarian.

Mazzy: Is only a fighter because paladins have to be human. Given that she's already given a bunch of their abilities anyway and Bioware cheat on a number of other occasions* switching her over shouldn't be an issue. Cavalier seems the best choice, though that does prevent her from using ranged weapons. Perhaps specialise in short swords (for lore) and axes (for usefulness and throwing axes, to keep in line with the ranged aspect).

*Anomen's wisdom is too low to dual to cleric. Minsc's wisdom is too low to be a ranger. Aerie is a mage/cleric, which is not allowable for elves. There's a half-orc in EE with a paladin kit too.

Nalia: She's already somewhat doing the Robin Hood thing so switching to ranger (archer in particular) is fair. I don't recall any reason why she needs to be a mage anyway.

Cernd: I've never used him so I might be wrong about this, but I don't think there's a specific reason for him being a shapeshifter. The other druid kits are more viable.

Mazzy: I've played Mazzy as a paladin, using NPC lev 1. If Yoda can be a Grand Master with a light-saber, Mazzy can kick ass with Carsomyr, even if it's taller than she is. Also she is a better fit to the Paladin concept than, say, Keldorn. She's sternly rebukes evil, but doesn't get homicidal with Viconia as Keldorn does. And "little people" saves are nice for someone using 2 handed weapons rather than a shield.

Nalia: each to his own, but it's nice to have 2 archmages (Immy and Nalia) in ToB.
