Legion has abandoned ME2 philosophy because it contains Reaper upgrades. The Geth is not aware that the Reapers have them under control, even after uniting Quarians with the Geth. So they control the Geth and lead them to Earth along with other armies so they can attack allined fleet from behind and support Reapers. In my opinio Geth have no right to "live", they are machines and machines are not sign of life. They simply exist. Why they have no right to exist? Because they allowed Reapers to take over them, this makes them as indoctrinated as Earth leaders that were ordered into Reaper ships in order to "negotiate truce". Yes, Geth die in my every single playthrough and Legion gets 3 bullets from me. Many people might disagree with my points and try to counter them in responses, but my goal is not to convince others to my views.

True enough. I'm not saying your view is wrong, it's just an opinion of AIs having emotions. I'd argue all day that they do have them, because they do, but whether they should or not is totally subjective.

Oh thanks for clarifying.  But I think it's more modified reaper code.  That's why Destroy stil targets them

The second scene is with the second version of Legion... but it is just as much of a representation of the geth as an AI collective as Legion was (only it does not share memories with Shepard). 

According to these scenes the geth indeed upload the reaper code (the very enemy's code) to their consensus willingly while they are already free of the reaper indoctrination and wouldn't need it anymore so they could lay down their weapons and offer peace as the old geth to the quarians. Yet they don't do that, but upload the code (who knows to what end) while not caring about the quarians at all. 

So you can be softened up by Legion's familiar voice, friendly nature and his emotion inducing question... but the awful truth is, that if you side with them they mercilessly kill off all quarians, not even giving a them a chance to lay down their weapons while they are clearly outnumbered by the geth. Very nice, emotional and "living-like" of them. indeed. 

So you can go on about how nice the geth are and that they are just as people as us, when they clearly don't act like real people... or if you want to put human adjectives on their behaviour: selfish, self-centered, merciless.

Yep, it's the Quarians' fault again, even if indirectly this time.

It's actually the Geth's fault, again, despite the best white-washing efforts. As far as the Quarians knew, the Geth were sided with the Reapers to begin with, as shown by the Battle at the Citadel, where they aided a Reaper Dreadnought. NEVER, did the Geth let it be made known that a majority of them do not support the Reapers. The entire galaxy assumed that the Geth were sided with the Reapers, as the Geth Heretics had shown years earlier.

Never did the Quarian's plans seem illogical, or stupid. As far as they knew, destroying the Geth would help the galaxy as a whole and be a defeat for the Reapers.

Take Legion on Tali's LM in ME2.

The Reapers are killed by the Red Light of Doom in Destroy. So are the geth. So is EDI. Any explanation why?
