can i just say, how about we all hold out for EVIDENCE one way or the other. invader said he's meeting her. if it's her, he's gonna be a happy camper who will be pitching a tent. if not, i'm sure he'll have a laugh about it, as this won't really have impacted on his life, as he's not some troglodyte living on youtube and doing nothing but play games. he has a life, and a job, and other things going on that he worries about more.
i know her as someone who is fun to play with, has a sense of humour and is down with banter. other than that, i don't think about ANYONE on my friends list other than when i turn on my xbox. everyone needs to get a grip stop making this out to be documentary/drama.

that's a no i'm afraid. have never played halo, nor will i. always thought it looked childish from the get go. assassins creed i haven't played after brotherhood, when the story slipped away and ubisoft just milked the hell out of it. awful
 i'm sure there will be games we can play on in the future though, except tomb raider. that multiplayer looks appauling, and the single player has a lot of quick time events, so i'm not holding out hope of a good story in that either...

i've heard good things about tomb raider, but the MP does look pretty bad. I skipeed AC2, ACB and ACR but i'm really enjoying AC3. Halo, the last one i played was the original on the original xbox lol. Didn't care much for it. I like halo 4 but i don't think its anyhting amazing. its fun and amusing in spurts but i don't see myself ever coming close to the 900+ hrs i put into ME3. 

Too bad walking dead wasn't co-op lol. JK that game was so perfect as it was.. but the ending :( so sad

i did almost cry. how about dead island? we could co-op that. i've thought about getting it but no one else plays it on my friends list (mostly me3 players)

My friend gave me a used copy cause he got the GOTY edition but i've never even popped it in my system yet lol

I don't get why you think that i am making any sort of personal attack on invaderone.  Reread every one of my posts in this thread not once have I called him a liar, insulted him, etc.  I get that you guys are probably friends and you're trying to stick up for his credibility, but your friend is being duped and meeting a con artist in real life.  Shouldn't you be worried?

Speaking as an ESOL teacher (English for Speakers of Other Languages) I'd like to add something here. Firstly, it is not inconceivable that someone can become fluent in accent within a year if they surround themselves with the target accent (by say, moving to the country and interacting exclusively with native speakers).

I had a Polish girl who came to work at a law firm in the UK as a student for 9 months. Her English was not so great to begin with and her accent full of mistakes/L1 influence in all areas of fluency.

Long story short, at the end of those 9 months, she passed the most prestigious exam with a straight A and people I introduced her to could not tell she was Polish. A few would say they couldn't tell where she came from, but just as many assumed she was British. (And there are a lot of Poles in London these days, people are particularly familiar with that accent. IMO she had completely eradicated 99.9% of tell tales and ended up with a neutral flattened accent.)

Korean to English would, I imagine (based on my experiences of teaching Japenese and Chinese nationals), be a more difficult challenge (due to the differences in the language system and wider phonetic variation),  but not an insurmountable one. Certainly, one Japanese student of mine (one year with me and iirc 18 months with a previous tutor), became fluent with enough of an accent for 90% of people to assume he was born in UK. In fact, due to the people he worked with he did not adopt my neutral flattened accent, but developed some traits of a London accent.

Both of those people were extremely diligent students tho (4 to 6  2-hour sessions with me per week, self study and surrounding themselves with native speakers) and did have a talent for languages. She spoke three others and I think, he, four (or more).  Personally, I can speak English with people from my home country who live in the UK and they have no idea I am not English. (Which makes for some very funny moments if they start discussing me thinking I don't understand )

I know I cannot tell whether this player has tells in her accent that say 'Korean' due to my limited knowledge and experience of teaching Koreans, and that holds true for the vast majority of people in this thread, especially those who only speak one language and have no idea of what is entailed in learning a language. I suggest that we who do not know, not cast stones just because she has managed to develop a cali accent.

Obviously, there are Korean nationals/native speakers in this thread and so maybe it is a worry if none of them can detect any trace of such a tell, (and certainly posters like mrs_Anomaly I would feel I could trust to not be a troll on such a matter), but my point is...

TL;DR   It is possible for her to develop that accent and fluency within a year and a half. Exceptional? Yes. Impossible? No.

i have read all your posts, and i know you're not attacking invaderone (again, you're jumping to conclusions). i just find conjecture and hyperbole quite, quite annoying. also, a con artist of what? what is he being conned out of? he's not losing anything. so no, i'm not worried in the slightest, which begs the question, why are you?

I don't think he ever used the word "conned", if I had to describe what happened, it'd just say he got deceived and it just makes the video less "sensational" if you will. We never questioned the skills of these guys, in fact it's a great achivement to duo platinum with a less experienced person with a ****ty manifest. It's just sad that she had to play a supermodell's character (rather poorly) to get the attention of INVADERONE and get a video posted of her playing a platinum run with a guy, whom a lot of people would call a "BSN celebrity". That's all there's to it.
