Tis' cold in my tent, indeed! I wanted to go for eyes that could slay any man at a 100 paces, not sure if I got it right but I do like the feel of it. Haven't decided how to proceed with the color, however, I'll come back to that later I guess.

Lightsabres - I'm using an A5 sized tablet, but it's not really necessary to get it that large, it's very cumbersome unless you have a lot of table space. No problem about the background too, since I normally work on a very large picture than scale it down to put it online

-edit- Sorry I meant A3 sized tablet, keep forgetting my paper sizes ><

A4?  That is big.  I've seen the 8x6" tablets selling here for pretty cheap.  I'd love to get her scribbling again as she is really quite good when she has some inspiration

If you're making them large that's cool - I worked in web programming a 9 years ago and the artists we had on staff did the same.  If you could send me the un-resized pics (both colour and sketch) that would be awesome!  I wouldn't mind playing with the sketch and see how it looks with a black background and white or colored lines.  Playing with photoshop is always fun

Tarente11a - Hehe, the mouse is really hard to use, but I have seen someone put up a stupidly stunning piece of work working exclusively with a mouse so it's not really the tools, I guess, but a tablet does help a lot since it's more natural than working with a mouse.
