Yes, but it more or less died out (like I said in my post, not many new guys on BSN). SO I decided to make this thread to try and instead change a few veiws on seeing a rookie in your lobby.

And yes, everyone, I know BSN has always had an absurd amount of people complaining over newbs in gold+ but in recent weeks it's gone up.

We did have that one challenge to beat reapers on gold in the summer. I know TIM11 started a movement to help those who don't touch gold to get through it. Lots of people were helped.

Well 1 friend started around rank N7 400. I started to do gold games around rank ~700,~800, when i got almost
all my rare up to X  and got most of characters. Do you think that somebody whit Phaeston II can make gold  game ?

1st at all new guys need to learn game mechanics- like run away from enemy that can sync-kill them (Banshee's, Atlas, Phantom's), at what waves are objectives (3.6.10 ) and what kind of objective is (pizza delivery; VIP killing; and others).
2nd They need  to buy Veteran packs from beggining, so to get better than uncommon, like common weapons and chars. When they unlocked some of that weapons/gears/characters they can go to Silver and start working for Spectre packs and for rare. And when they learn how to use this weapons and characters ( cuz to see Asari Adept whit Black widow and harrier is so...), when they found character that they like to play whit it, then and only then they can go for GOLD.
(oh yeah and maximize they medi-gels/ops/missiles or atleast got them to 4 for gold game) 

they might be able to. i have not done many gold. but in the ones i have done i did good. but there have been a few i did not do so hot in. but we all have our days or match where we do not do our best it happens. i have seen people in silver do better jobs with people who have had better gear. the gear helps but does not make the player do better. give a poor player the best gear and they might do ok. give a great player fair gear and watch them do a good job

That was when I found out how good the Justicar's shield can be.

@jjddaass- yes you're right about this- every1 have his days. But think about that - on lobby set as U/U/G enterred a turian sentinel whit Phaeston II and whitout any equipment.Then next player is batarian soldier whit Claymore X and Talon VIII (example) whit full equipment- gear bonus, ammoarmor and weapon.SO my question is: who you would prefer for this gold game ?
Bronze is for newbies, that need to start from somewhere. I also started as bronze player and i go step by step to gold lobbies.

I would suggest for players completely new to the series to play the single player campaign first. You can ge to grips with the game mechanics, learn about the different powers, and their roles and all the different enemy types (excluding collectors and some other units like bombers, dragoons ofc )

Going straight into a Gold, Plat match without ever playing the game before, you are more than likely going to be overwhelmed.

This weekend shall be... interesting. I would say to the new guys, take lot's of mental notes on what you see from the more experienced players. Also look on youtube for videos on classes that you want to use and get good with.

YOU HAVE TO PLAY WITH THEM, if you don't ever actually let any rookies play, how will they ever gain experince, and actually be able to compentenly play that level (actually some rookies are quite good, not that a majority o the people here would give them the chance to find out.) that you keep on complaining they don't have enough expeirnce to be in???

Honestly, if anything we should all be trying our best to help them, teach them how to reload cancel, share builds whatever! in the end your'e just making the community you play in all the better. We were all rookies once.

And also, any rookies (yes I know not many visit BSN, but theres an off chance) who are trying to transtion to gold, or want some gameplay tips, shoot me a msg (PS3) and I'll see if I can help.

yeah that's why i suggested text chat because i can't speak well on mic and because i am deaf so i can't hear at all. which is..  problematic. the communcation with team is very vital to the sucess of the mission.

I'm guessing text chat is a PC thing? I'm on Xbox and as far as I know you can't have text chat on Xbox.

yes but i can't tell you some of things due to the nature of say. on the text chat. here's little hint, it was originally supposed to be used for other platforms including PC.

It should be available really. Then I could bark orders/make people aware of their imminent death even if they had no mic or had hearing issues.

i dont know about other people but when someone is barking orders that tends to bug me to. but just saying what needs to be done it ok. just not the people who think they should be the one who tells everyone what to do

OP is wrong I am seeing way too much of this crap when I try pug gold or platinum.  Helping is one thing carrying is bs.  Like it or not you do need a certain amount of experience and unlocks before you can effectively play gold and alot more before you can run platinum.  The noobs lately seem to think its ok to skip the grind and get carried.  The other day I hosted pug gold and had 3 noobs with n7s below 100 in lobby.  I played 3 games with them extracted twice then wiped on wave 10 when I ran out of gel trying to solo a pizza that went real bad.  All 3 games were over 30 minutes with me soling most of later rounds and using most of my consumables while others were dead.  It was not fun for me at all.  If I want to solo I will put it on private and do so.  I wont be doing much pugging anymore.

Had one the other day on Ghost.  Said, "Welcome new guy."  He promptly quit the lobby.  Guess my mic scared him.

On the other hand, most of the new folks are so much better than I was at their experience level, kind of humbling.

i do think it is good to help and i agree about not carrying. every now and then i will go into a bronze just for the heck of it to help out the newer people or ones who are still trying to get the credits they need for there packs.

People kinda right to complain when stuff like this happens.

Have to agree on that allthough I've played some great plat PUGs with some guys using lvl. 1 chars. 
I find that if you see some low level characters in G/P lobby, you should check their consumables/weapons and if it makes sence then it's probably ok. Unless it's reapers/rio then it's the box of shame all round.
