Do you think that we can expect an appearance in Dragon Age 3 Inquisition from the Warden or in future games or is Dragon Age Origins the final game where we will have the Warden appear? If not how do you think the Warden can be incorporated into the storyline of Dragon Age 3? The last we knew of the Warden is that he was in some secret mission and that Cassandra and the Seekers of truth were looking for him/her.

Ohh, this thread! If I had a nickle! XD

I would love to see my Warden, but I don't know if it's possible for a few reasons.

1. DA3 would have to import the face you created in DAO and generate it in DA3, and that's very difficult. In Mass Effect some/most Shepards came out looking wonky and it took FOREVER to make your Shepard into something you want and not, say, an inbred dufus.

FOREVER.

That was just from the first game to the sequel. The second game to the third was also a bit tricky because of the new graphics, etc etc etc.

It would take a lot of resources, money, and time to bring your Warden from the first to the third game. I would rather see all that put into more important things.

2. The Warden IS an influential figurehead. They saved Ferelden from the Blight - but not all of them took Morrigan's ritual, so you also have to keep that in mind. They are also not as important as the lead warden, or the grand cleric. So while their voice may pull some weight, it would also go against everything a Grey Warden stands for UNLESS they barged in to knock some sense into some skulls because of an impending Darkspawn threat. The lead warden would step in and say: "no, you can't do this, it's against our code" and possibly send the Warden away with their tail between their legs.

Politically and story wise, it would be difficult. A Grey Warden is not interested in mages or templars, they want to fight the Blight. They are also politically neutral, they cannot/will not involve themselves in politics because the Blight is first and foremost ALWAYS a threat.

Blight Blight Blight.

3. Personality. Everyone gave their Warden a personality, and it would be hard to implement that into DA3. BioWare can't please everyone when it comes to that.

If it was at all possible, I would LOVE to see my Warden again. There is something going on with the Grey Wardens, that much is clear, but I don't know if the Hero of Ferelden will ever be seen again. Heard of, definitely.

I really hope so, and in my canon playthrough its possible. It could even be possible if your Warden died but now the go-to Warden is the Orlesian one you could create at the beginning of Awakening, although less awesome for those people probably. A little character swap like Tali for Raan.

It gets complicated though once you work in some of the OGB stuff people want and if they vanished into the mirror instead of stabbing Morrigan in her stupid belly.

But I don't expect it. There are probably way more negatives than positives that could come of it for most people (or at least seeming that way with the vocal minority) if the Warden ever made an on screen appearance. You know how this place can get.

I wish, as the protagonist again preferably; although my main Dalish elf Warden would probably look really weird after the elf redesign...

They managed to get half of them right and half of them wrong so 50-50 isn't bad.

Doing the Warden justice would require hard work to encompass all the possibilities of how the players' may have ended their DA:O games.

So probably not.

I don't believe so. The Inquisition might have some reason to travel to Ferelden, but I doubt the Warden will be there. His story is over, and I don't believe the Grey Wardens answer to the Inquisition.

Well, that, and you basically have every flavor of Warden that satisfying everyone is nigh impossible, as is taking their reasons for their actions. You'll have Wardens that may want to help the Mages, other Wardens who would not, Wardens who don't care either way, Wardens who are collecting dust in their tombs, etc.

I doubt it. The amount of work needed to make this work, and keep everyone happy would be very difficult. It's possible, but it would take a lot of time, and who knows the limitations of the engine, ect. There's so many variables and on top of that keeping everyone happy.

Haha. Well.

The fanbase would be split..
Like 50% outrage because it doesn't match their headcanon via actions, voice, ect..
Hmm 30% excited to see them, 20% indifferent.

Those percentages mean nothing, just a guess. The casual crowd probably wouldn't mind. It's the hardcore crowd against it that would clutter the forum...and Bioware itself not wanting to deal with the plot line anyway. :P

I don't see why not. If they can let us customize Hawke, they can let us customize the Warden.

It would have to be as NPC similar to Hawke/Loghain.

That's not exactly true, since Hawke had a set voice, a defined background and a personality that adhered to their dialogue choices.
