Despite my experience with ME3, I couldn't hold back and preordered the collector's edition today for Tomb Raider.

So, is anyone else looking forward to this game as much as me?

Pre-ordered despite my apprehension with them adding MP. Single player looks pretty good, I enjoyed the hour long video on IGN and I'm looking forward to it.

I was once pretty excited for this, but this enthusiasm has cooled down over the time. I'll wait for user reviews.

they significantly reduced the portion of Platforming and puzzle solving in this reboot. There will be more exploration, cinematics and combat actually.

I never played Tomb Raider, and I watched some reviews and know a decent amount about the history of the game and what not. I like what I see of how they redid Lara Croft...much more characterization. I think production values will be high, as lots of effort went into it and it'll probably be really polished.

What I am uncertain about is how linear it is, how much handholding is involved and how long the game is. Been considering possibly getting it.

I hope it isn't too much like my experiences with the earlier games, where I got stuck on the third level, and raged to death trying to enter the "Skip level" cheat, which involved stupid bull**** like rotating clockwise three times, then doing a back flip, then rotating three times the other way.

Probably will pick it up when it's cheaper. The only Tomb Raider games I've played was the one back on the Sega Saturn and another on the PS1. Never been interested in the recently released ones (Underworld and Legend) due to them being pretty much more of the same (i.e linear levels, platforming, shooting and a half naked woman running around - which isn't a major problem for me but it's hard to build an oversexualized character up IMO which is why I liked the new Lara better who seems more human).

This new one has had me interested though. Open world? Survival elements? Rape scenes (lol j/k I know the truth)? Count me in....at some point.
