It's a beta but they did help a little with Tressfx.

You know I can run Tressfx but I don't because then I feel like I'm playing a very indulgent hair product commercial.

Maybe Laura is only reading the entries that pertain to her and is really egotistical, plus evilwhiteguy's journal only mentioned her in that he wouldn't be able to get her to go along with his plan.Druss99 wrote...
I'm finally stumped by a puzzle. The clearing four bits of debris from an elevator to make it go down one left me baffled on the fourth one. Ended up just taking a break.
Excellent game so far. My only gripe is the crew's diaries are all about Lara, they sound like stalkers or fan girls. I'm just waiting for one to go "Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee LARA!!!!! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!"

Seems plausible. The self obsessed nutjob flipping through peoples diaries looking for any mention of herself. Stopping off in the middle of a life or death battle to search implausible places for excerpts and anecdotes about herself.
Finished it today, I'd give it 9/10. Not perfect, but a very enjoyable game.

Continuing to like this more and more. Easily a 9/10, maybe a 9.5 for me. I have things I hope they improve, but its fantastic sofar. Great action/adventure and easily a GOTY contender in my book. My goodness, Lara Croft is strong and beautiful, inside and out.

But two patches by CD later and a new beta driver to test out from Nvidia, I had to finish off the game.
So I went from 2% complete to 85% complete in 1 and a half days. I couldn't put it down. Two session with 6 hours and then 10 hours. Damn it's a good game. And it also made me realize how judgemental I was being based on a few crappy bugs. After playing through the game and then reading through the credits, there was just that strong feeling that there was a lot of passion put into this game from many different people. I mean, they even thanked all the tomb raider fan websites in the credits. That's pretty cool if you ask me.
Also, with the amount of cool stuff you could do through the game; passive cover system, gliding on ropes etc.. A lot of work had to be focused so the important things flowed smoothly, and that they did.
A great way to get Heart of the Swarm out of my head.
I got to reading to page 8 in this thread, tired from playing, will read more tomorrow.
EDIT: OH and LOOT.. oh the loot! I loved it! From the salvaging to the GPS cache's to the documents and relics. Oh, heaven.. The documents were my favourite though. I loved that they were voiced.

You know, I've been improving all of my weapons as much as possible, but I mostly stick to the bow. I'm still a sniper girl at heart. I mean...you can't go wrong with fire arrows, some toxic gas, and a well-placed arrow. Hehe.
Oh, and I got the grenade launcher upgrade to the rifle before stopping for the night. Woo!
Through all the posts in the first 8 pages, this one resonates with me most. I play exactly the same way in most games, Skyrim archer/stealth and fallout sniper/silence pistol. I basically play how it would be realistic for me being a woman, so using the bow and arrow felt really cool. Plus once you get the recurve/competitor's bow. Ahhh lots of fun! : )
