I preordered Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite. I'm excited to have something new to play, and both of these look excellent.

Steam tells me the game unlocks an hour after midnight (GMT+1) or so. That's odd. Usually games unlocking on Tuesday do that at around 19:00 here. If true that would be cool, because tomorrow I have a meeting after lunch and then I am off the rest of the day.

I have to agree with you on this, I finished paying off Tomb Raider with lesser games last week and now I'm gonna go to the launch.

Two things about this game, both unimportant, apparently suck according to reviewers-

Its multiplayer(which you can avoid) and its achievement list(which is godawful but since when has that mattered).

The game's main menu is super cool. Last time I liked a main menu that stood out was Borderlands 2.

Also relating to the main menu, I use an Xrocker game chair with surround sound audio and with the bass turned up all the way.

Because of this, every time audio uses bass, it feels like a massage chair thanks to the subwoofer on the back.

And the main menu uses bass liberally.

I've never played a single Tomb Raider game in my life, and don't trust so called 'Professional reviews'.

Going off of gameplay videos alone, it looks a bit like the Uncharted games. So does this have any game-breaking glitches, screen tearing, poor framerate, etc?

I am 2-3 hours into it. So I can't comment  much. What I can say .. Running it on ultra on my PC with every effect (tressFX/post-processing/Full AA/Tesselation/1080P) ... and this game is one of the most beautiful game I have ever played in my entire life (Technical details)... and that mean a lot coming from me and run quite well despite it on my 1.5 years old PC. Had some hiccup though.

Has for the gameplay .. It's a bit linear so far and the AI is dumb and the platforming is too easy.. The story so far? Can't comment, but it's not bad. I love of how they have done it... it's not too much in your face.

First couple of quicktime events in the intro and I already am reminded of how much I hate quicktime events and how I wish every game that used them had a toggle to turn them off like The Witcher 2 has.

Is the story and setting comparable to some levels with Far Cry 3?

Apparently the game gets a lot better after the linear beginning segments.

I played about 6 hours so far and the game is good.

The beginning is linear but there is more freedom after. Graphics are good and Laura is great.
The QTE's are terrible but the combat is fine and have no problem.
So far i give the game 9 out of 10.

When do I get to change her outfit and stuff? I have an outfit unlocked that I want to give her but the first couple of base camps don't let me change anything yet.
