As a person who does have back problems this I can agree with. Out of all her injuries, every time Lara landed on her back full force it hit me more then any other injury.Druss99 wrote...

If anything, her arms get the most damage, hell some of her idle animation is holding her arm, rubbing it ect.
I think the lower back injury's stick out to me more because I've damaged mine before and winced every time she landed on it. That girl has a lumbar of steel.
i think the island taught Lara an important lesson. Gravity sucks.

I agree - a lot of the appeal of the game for me was the 'level up' system of skill points and gear upgrades. They're going to have to come up with new skills and gear/options. I suppose they could 'degrade' a couple of skills from 'disuse' and add some new ones ('enhanced survival awareness'). Plus they have to beef up the tombs.simfamSP wrote...
I'm concerned about the sequel though. A lot of the appeal for this game came from the way Lara develops from a bright, innocent young-woman to a hardened, kick-ass action hero. Now that's shes there, I don't see her character going further. Unless she becomes a lot wise (i,e Ezio) but she wasn't 'unwise' to begin with.
(It's entirely possible they already have this planned for the next game or two so they know how they're going to show progression with the character and the games.)

Yea, honestly by the time Lara got to the end and you have to climb all the way up that mountain while Himiko is just battering you with insane weather I was like... Lara being a badass is a given though. She can shoot an arrow threw a crazy cultist from like the other side of a chasim.Greylycantrope wrote...

Hopefuly they cancell all the planned MP dlc and make sp dlc since MP is not that popular and peopel are begging for more tombs.IllusiveManJr wrote...
I'm still bummed about the no single-player DLC.

Their problem is shoe-horning them into the map, and not breaking the interactive map system while they're doing it. Better to bring out a new SP game ASAP.Mr.House wrote...

Yeah im still not grasping the logic behind all this either.
I mean they really thought MP was going to be more popular then SP?

They did file a trademark for something called "Tomb Raider: Reflections." Sounds to me more like the title of a DLC and not an entire game.

I rather they take their time with TR2 and put the same love and care they put into this game.huntrrz wrote...

Certainly, allow me to clarify: better to bring out a new SP game ASAP rather than shoe-horn SP DLC into the current game and break it.Mr.House wrote...

As to taking their time, I'm hoping they mapped out 2-3 games while planning the reboot. That might shave a few months off the dev time for the next one.

Kind of an expansion type thing, but on a smaller scale.

There's alot they could do, even doing a bridge dlc for TR2. I still wish tohugh TR had a NG+ like Batman:AC.LPPrince wrote...
Or they could create a brand new area not part of Yamatai that Lara explores after she leaves the island.

Batty should have everything right off the bat(ha unintended what was done thar)
But then again I'll take NG+ whenever I can get it so I'd support it in future TR titles
(though I only played and planned to play TR once)

Good job Crystal Dynamics! When a dev team pours their heart into a game it shows. This was my first TR game (I started gaming fairly late) and I'm now firmly hooked to Ms. Croft. Can't wait for a sequel or any potential SP DLC though that seems unlikely.
The only thing that slightly worries me is the Square Enix statement that the game didn't meet their expectations. Hope that doesn't affect the sequels. Or else.. I don't wanna live on this island anymore. :C
